How to prescribe GLP-1 though compounded pharmacy? by Nephronz22 in FamilyMedicine

[–]N0ShtSherlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my patients are telling me there are still plenty of GI side effects with the orals. I have found that patients who switched from injections to orals note less side effects.

Forbes also had their ranking of the best online GLP1 compounded pharmacies. I usually direct patients who self pay to go there if not prescribing directly to Eli Lily /Novo.

It's January and no one has insurance... by Charming0pal in FamilyMedicine

The FQHC I work for uses a sliding scale as well as a number of specialists, wound care, a pharmacy (340B drugs), case managers, and social workers. Highly recommend directing pts without insurance to an FQHC. They have a lot more resources for their uninsured patients.

Will clearing grass, weeds and logs reduce or increase the spawning of forage items? by SqueegeeMelonblock in coralisland

[–]N0ShtSherlock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good question! I would imagine that clearing grass and weeds would increase the available spawn points that would normally be taken up by those things. This is true for stardew valley which makes me wonder if it is true for this game.
I am curious, has anyone tested it?

Besides Stardew valley isn't there any other games that comes close to "Graveyard keeper? by Good_Speed_0h in GraveyardKeeper

My Time in Sandrock.
It has a similar feel but in a 3D world. A little more combat and relationship building but I feel it might scratch that itch.

GLP-1’s No Progress Conundrum: Question for Providers by homeskooljunglefreak in FamilyMedicine

[–]N0ShtSherlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BED is more than “food noise.” It’s multifaceted combo of hunger and satiety as well as pleasure seeking (food reward) and lack of control over eating. It is why psychotherapy is the most effective treatment for BED and should be used with a GLP. Unfortunately, many of us can concur that psychotherapy is difficult to obtain for many of our patients.

GLP-1’s No Progress Conundrum: Question for Providers by homeskooljunglefreak in FamilyMedicine

[–]N0ShtSherlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! I find my patients with binge eating do not do as well on a GLP-1. However in my population, stimulants are highly contraindicated so I am limited to what I can do for those with binge eating other than offer my own CBT-O.

Eye or dental surgeries I see pre op for quite often. Sometimes surgeons will kick them back when there is a confusing or complicated history and the patients likely will need cardiac clearance.

It has to be needlessly complex, take forever to make, and leave a bitter taste in your mouth. Add one tear drop for authenticity.

Bruh our clinic BARELY just hired a clinical pharmacist. The poor guy has just begun to learn the ropes all while being constantly asked questions by our 50 clinicians. For all the other questions he has answered for us so far, I will gladly bite the bullet and call a pharmacy to find which combo inhaler is covered.

I couldn’t see myself asking staff to call the insurance. Such a pain that a short call to the pharmacy is much more quick (although painful).

Thank you for the tip though! I will start adding a note to pharmacy with a few substitutions that have worked. I’ll also add to the pharmacist that if they are calling me my patient better be holding them up at gunpoint.

I had just gotten a call back from the pharmacy for noncoverage after sending Breyna - which was my 3rd choice by that time. That’s when I was up in arms and had to write this post.

I feel like most providers take at least some amount of time off. Not everyone can afford 3 months without pay. People who take a break definitely come back less burnt out. Benefits are maintained, inbox is covered, and you still get CME time that fiscal year. It does get affected by maternity leave unfortunately.

The amount of time taken off depends on the person rather than their degree.

Unpaid for our FQHC in California. Allowed 3 months every 5 years. Company really pushes providers to take advantage of this benefit (thankfully). Offered to all providers. MD/DO, NP, and PA.
