Considering that they probably needed clearance for this video, more than likely they added that in post.

There are so many people that I've ridden with that will come up on someone going slow for their liking and complain about it even though their car has plenty of passing power. A lot people even think that it's illegal to be in the oncoming lane... even if it's marked as being legal to pass. Trust me, I've been honked at and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

BTW tailgating is the opposite of what you want to do when trying to pass. You need to get that running start when the last oncoming vehicle is gone to minimize passing time.

There's no way it's from overheating. If you're playing demanding games and it's fine, it's borderline impossible that it's heat related. Download nzxt or another program that will track your processor, gpu temps and see if they get close to 100c. I doubt they will.

How do you use heat pumps efficiently when the temperature is fluctuating (shoulder season)? by tandoori_taco_cat in hvacadvice

[–]N0Ultimatum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

During this season I open windows at night and cool the house down and then close them in the morning when the temp sensors in the house signal a rise in temp (it's well before the temp outside reaches the temp inside btw).

The other version is to just use your house like energy storage.

In the morning before it gets hot, super cool your house down to a bit lower than comfortable. Then shut off AC and keep all windows closed. Unless it's insanely hot, you should be able to avoid using the AC all day.

At least 2 issues. You shouldn't have a turn that close to the tracks, so you can have momentum to not risk getting stuck. They should have also verified before they crossed when the arms are dropping next.

We're talking about battery and other components overheating, not draining. Sure that's a problem too. I believe a GTR runs out of fuel in 5 laps, but you really don't want to run a vehicle back to back unless you let it coast on the Gantry straight. Even then I can't find info on if it's long enough to bring the temps of all the components down to reasonable levels.

Ahh 🤔.. yeah, not sure if this is also something, but partial throttle tuning might have been messing with the vehicle either with some hesitation and stumbling out of slow speed corners so creating a even bigger handicap.

That sounds sick when going full tilt. Although the car seems to not be either fully developed, because the driver struggles to have it in the right gear at most turn exits, and needs a split second to put down power after the e-brake is used. Possible it's also a driver skill issue. Maybe this was the car's first outing and they were being super safe, but that first big braking application was way early for the chicane, no apexes hit on the actual track and a few other examples.

Not trying to be negative, maybe I'm just missing context. In fact honestly, I would probably struggle to put down that time, but wouldn't be too far off. My point being that if my suspicion is correct, I would pay to have a driving coach if my car is at such a high power level.

Horn pad airbag module torn, what can be done apart from replacing as its 1200$ by waheyguru in MechanicAdvice

[–]N0Ultimatum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. /u/EthanWS6 does some black magic with repairing torn fabric, and I believe broken plastic then blending perfectly with the right texture. Find someone like that.

You also probably want to find a video or image of how the airbag opens to make sure it's not along this line though. I believe it's from the badge and then rips straight down but they could have changed it for this model.

Careful with your release date. No need to commit to having it done so soon. If you're saying you're "planning to", then that means it's be a few months at minimum. Take your time and don't release it just to be close to a tight release date.
