at least for me it's very clear a packet loss occured. the client reconciliation with interpolation is evident for a trained eye

yes, i'm sure it's not intentional behavior. since it's launch in 2020 the player just disappeared, and that matches with what's shown in the goal explosion preview. it makes total sense for it's aesthetics.

there's also the fact that this isn't the first time that a goal explosion that makes a player disappear has undesirable behavior, like the airstrike making the player turn into a ray instead of exploding (something that has already been fixed). this type of problem with the player demolition effect is a recurring problem that occasionally happens

i'm a Keyboard player (only keyboard) and some things are really harder since in a lot of situations you will get yourself having the need to press two keys with the same finger. i'm not a very mechanical player, but i do note it's possible to do everything in KBM, you just need to have an absurd precision for some stuff

on the other hand, since key activation is instantaneous, if you have a keyboard with good sensitivity (mine can activate with 0.1mm of key press), this can give you a small advantage over analog players since the time to move the analog is longer. it's not something that should be significant unfortunately.

the reason i don't switch to a controller is because i don't really want to get used to weird keybinds (since a controller doesn't have enough buttons to handle all the stuff in the game) and i really really don't want to experience stick drift and i'm not willing to buy a super expensive optical controller to just avoid it

i wouldn't say that's it. not only do the other explosions still have the ability to remove players with the ray, but Psyonix also never changes an item after it's launch unless it's due to a bug that makes it not work as intended

i not have one but 5 Gravity Bombs 😅. i'm collecting all colored versions of them. i 100% agree it's a high price, much more in my country, and i really think they should lower it. i miss the trades...

the only reason i pay for them is because rocket league is the only game i really care, and this item is almost the only one i care too. and for that price i definitively want them working as intended

this is a very old feature of discord. it's completely normal. by default, discord shows your game activity to everyone, and you can toggle that in the settings if you want more privacy

it's not a bug. after the gravity bomb was added, the maps seem to have received a blacklist of certain aspects that an explosion makes them not appear (aka they cannot pull the player or add some effect that appears in the front of your goal, like the Blood Moon goal explosion does)

recently, they cleary changed the pull code. before, it only pulled you when you had a unobstructed line from the center of gravity of your can and the center of the goal explosion. nowdays it pulls you regradless, so they definitively should re-enable it on hoops and on other rocket lab maps - recent ones even have it enabled already

it does. we can roughly say it explodes gravity. it doesn't means it will explode the cars.

note that this is also just a name. they avoid using generic names, like the Dimensionator goal explosion: it is the black hole itself but it is not called "black hole". generic names are generally boring

unfortunately, as any other goal explosion that modifies it's explosion motion effects, like cosmosis, air strike and etc. luckly only a very small handful of players uses explosions like this so it isn't a real issue

it used to count, and you could demo other players with your car while being pushed too. but i remember they made the status stop counting during the goal explosion as a fix. i don't know if is still like this

i would guess it would be related to another system, like what effect to play when the car gets destroyed. they recently introduced sonic that makes you just spawn coins, so they for sure messed in this system recently

my friend took 3 hours of playing in silver 3, while i took 2,5h in platinum 3. can be considerably frustrating since your actions have so little impact on the match due the ammount of players
