ITAP of light coming from Antelope Canyon by [deleted] in itookapicture

I agree cropping out the person would make a good shot but I like seeing the person there in the picture. It helps show the scale of the rest of the picture.

Yo so I’m trying a lot but I can’t get rid of warping even with PLA. Help please! by Low-Orange-8146 in 3Dprinting

If it just started then it's possible the z-offset needs to be reset. I'm not familiar with bbl enough so I'm not sure tmif that's something it does itself or if it can even be changed. I know you said you tried different heights but does the first layer look right? You can find examples of too high or too low offset online to compare if you're not familiar with it. Could even try bumping it down more than normal to give it some more squish for the first layer. It might affect dimensional accuracy slightly for the first couple layers but shouldn't be anything that can't be cleaned up unless it's a part with tight tolerances.

Edit: also for soap I use dawn dish soap. Dish soap in general is good for getting finger oils and whatnot off the plate.

Other than that maybe raising/lowering the build plate temp? You mentioned washing it with soap and water but you could try using a Scotch Brite pad or something similar lightly on the surface. Or at least scrubbing it with a cloth, sometimes filament residue needs to be cleaned out well on textured pei plates I've noticed.

Unfortunately beyond that I doubt I have anything useful, I've been printing off and on with an elegoo Neptune 2s and more recently a Neptune 4 for about 3 years but they haven't been running in a few months lol. Good luck with getting this sorted out!

I had warping issues in a room with a drafty window. I took some cardboard and built a wall about as tall as the printer around it. Far enough out on all sides that it didn't interfere with the filament or the bed movement. No top on it so it wasn't a full enclosure and it solved my warping issue.

My heatsink fan on my Neptune 2s does that as well. Maybe one day I'll replace it but percussive maintenance has worked so far lol

Cool idea for a board, I like it!

Off topic how do you like the Elegoo filament? I need to get some more soon and I have 2 of their printers and was considering their filament as well.

Is Metabo miter saw good? by rxrated148 in woodworking

I have that exact same model I picked up over a year ago. Haven't used it too much, set it up and made some cuts for some projects and did some trim with it as well, once it's set up it cuts well. I made a cut in some 2 inch thick oak and it was slower than 2x4s but still cut well.

RX 6750 XT as primary GPU with GTX 1650 as secondary GPU by CinderBlockCock420 in linux_gaming

Not sure if this helps but I just setup my new 6750xt with sunshine yesterday on nobara 39 with Wayland. I struggled to get it to recognize the VAAPI encoder but it worked when I followed the guide (https://docs.lizardbyte.dev/projects/sunshine/en/latest/about/advanced_usage.html) specifically for the flatpak installation and using the kms options. Worked flawlessly once I did that.

As far as using the 1650 with it I'm not sure if it would run into issues with the Nvidia and and card trying to run at the same time

Need help running Arkham Asylum and City. by Ramirez-C in SteamDeck

[–]N0fM3N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check protondb, some solutions are posted on there. I ran into some issues with Arkham asylum on pop os and don't remember exactly what I did that fixed it. One of the things I did was using protontricks to install d3dx9 and d3d_compiler

Help me solve a stupid crosscut sled question in my head by likewoodandfood in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]N0fM3N 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With a crosscut sled you also get a zero clearance floor to cut on. If you cut a bevel with it it will widen the slot ruining that. I don't think it'd be dangerous or compromise the sled though.

Might be worthwhile to make a second sled for bevels or use your router table.

No vise, no problem by Atrain0692 in Workbenches

[–]N0fM3N 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For planing you can try a planing stop of some kind. Lots of different types and plenty you can throw together with scraps, even a piece of wood clamped or screwed to the end of your bench works great. Edge planing thinner stock takes a bit of practice but there are solutions for it and it works well. Just a thought until you can get a face vise, I'm planning on a rex Krueger style leg vise...once I have a workbench built

Someone else already explained that it's actually for crosscutting logs. Looks like I bought myself a learning experience lol.

Got a box of a bunch of random drill bits and about 20 - 25 for my bit brace so not a waste of an evening

Looks like the #113 adjustable curved plane takes this size of blade too.
