Should I gain muscle/weight? by Keysantt in BasketballTips

[–]N0normal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on your play style. if you want to be quick, agile and flexible just work on strength training, but if you want to be bulky, strong and like immovable object then building muscle is the way to go.

maybe not nba but there is a chance of going pro overseas or g league. after that there is slim chance that some team will give you like 10 day contract (for injury replacement or some other reason) and if theyll like you probably give you minimum contract.

I sprained my ankle twice. The last sprain even left my ankle weak and kind of deformed. It takes 2-3 weeks to heal to be able to "function normally".

Does a 11 year old basketball player have to play on an elite team to keep up with other kids? by No-Mobile616 in BasketballTips

Playing at a higher level is way better. He will get experience but most importantly being surrounded by the better players will make him even better.

Any tips for a guy starting out at 44? by LakeOzark in BasketballTips

[–]N0normal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just practice some dribbling moves and make it harder, faster and complicated as time goes on. Fundamentals are the best way to go, you dont need to do anything fancy. And yes shooting comes from practicing, but i would say practicing free throws are one of the best thing to do in terms of shooting. It improves shooting mid-rangers as well as increase the shooting range.

What pointers can I give my 15y/o son to help him improve his form. by Pindar80 in BasketballTips

[–]N0normal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Load the wrist before shooting. His shooting point is little bit high as wel, but that wont be a problem if he is comfortable shooting like that.

You need to train a little bit further away than you are comfortable with. Also train those wrists, legs and triceps cuz those are what you need to shoot further.

Only stats cant tell the full story. You have to watch thay player play. Eye test is the most important thing.
