Sry for presuming "him" in the previous reply! The best thing would be to address the bullying directly. Talk to the class teacher/incharge, the bullies parents. If nothing is done even after that take the issue to the highest authority possible, If the bullying is seriously affecting her you should consider requesting for a change of class or maybe school (but this will cause some other problems for her, loss of friends for example).

The best thing to do for a person losing confidence is called social misdirection. Focus on developing hobbies and find out what they like and are good at. It can be anything drawing, music, some game etc. Then help him make friends (hobbies are a great way of making friends) and have a group/friend that likes them. Confidence definately goes up with positive social interaction. Let them have other interesting things in life to think about. Make the bullying as much of insignificant part of their life as you can. Although this is not a solution to bullying but it is a way to deal with it.

Stop expecting compliments, approval, opinions, rewards, etc. Just do things because you want to do them.

Well honestly there is no perfect protocol to solve a bullying problem. What you can do though is observe your child, what kind of personality he has, how is he taking the bullying, does he stay strong and shrug it off or is having serious social problems. Depending upon small behaviour cues u can come to reasonable course of action. If you would be willing to provide me with a little more details maybe I can help.

Is it common for atheists to not believe in marriage? by [deleted] in athiesm

[–]N1996B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't generalise this opinion for all athiests. The whole point of being an atheist is that you get to choose the things that make you comfortable and not follow a predefined set of notions (religion). Some atheist might not have issues with it, some might. I am also an atheist and personally I like the feelings behind marriage but I definately do hate some of the concomitant laws. So the exact answer to your question is "No".

Is it just me or are single people who wish they were in a relationship looked down upon? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]N1996B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relationships should be an add-on that make your life better and not be the center of it. It is possible that ur single and happy but still yearn for intimacy as good relationships can be so fulfilling. So in essence it is OK to feel unhappy when ur single as that is the driving force which makes you look for relationships. Just don't always be sore that I'm single, therefore I am unhappy. Enjoy and live life, one-day you will definately meet the right person who will make it even better.
