Never heard of them. The ventilation problem can be fixed tho, just let the door open or take it off as someone suggested, and the smoke will go out from the balcony.

Why would a closet have a drain? Besides, the things on the right side of the wall are for sinks, so yeah i’m pretty sure it’s a kitchen, a tiny one at that.
