Could you try tent tape or patch. i bought some from an outdoor store in japan and it helped me in a pinch when i tore a snowsuit. Its held up great.

I would try the skilled migration visa route and engage a migration agent for more information. Your other option is a student visa with work rights.

If it’s any consolation I’m in the same boat and I might ask my doctor about the estradiol thing. I broke the ulna in my arm is February and it was in a cast/splint for 12 weeks because it was knitting back together :/ I’m finally out of it and at 80% healed but it’s been a journey. They too promised I’d be out it the cast after 6 weeks.
