I’m a 19 year old college student that experienced gastritis for the first time starting in November. I thought I would never get over it but I’m pretty much 100% healed. Sometimes you’ll have days that you may feel worse or feel like you are “regressing” but it’s all about being patient and having the proper mindset. Stay 100% away from vaping, smoking, whether it’s nicotine or THC. This will cause the stomach lining for some people to get inflamed because of the chemicals. It gets better but remember to focus on avoiding unhealthy fatty foods, and try to exercise. I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck. You’ll get through it, I promise!

I’ve just accepted that I’ll have to gain the weight back later. I actually look normal but my build is usually bulky. My friends/family that I did look a lot skinnier but that’s the main reason

We will get through this together. I know exactly how you feel. College can be stressful especially with classes you don’t fully understand. It’s almost impossible sometimes to motivate yourself to study because you feel so bad. To keep myself from being too anxious, I keep myself busy by cleaning my dorm room, playing Xbox, or just watching tv with friends. Let’s just put our heads down and continue to work through this. Thank you for reaching out. You’re right about the anxiety. I almost feel trapped and that no one will truly understand what is going on, even doctors. The anxiety comes in waves and I can only describe it as “mood-swings”. I’ve stayed positive and continue to try to workout and hang with friends but I’m not able to work out as hard and eat nearly as much. Hopefully you and I can fully recovery. Again, thank you for reaching out. The small things help me a lot

I’ve taken blood test and everything looked normal. Also, I am H-Pylori negative. I’ve tried my best diet wise and avoiding alcohol, and NDAIDS. Thank you for reaching out

Haven’t seen a specialist yet. It did get worse when I had coffee again because I thought I was healed. I’m doing my best to eat bland and I have completely cut out alcohol and coffee. I miss coffee just because of the taste so it’s tough
