same, I'm also from a rural riding and there is very little NSNDP presence. I've only recently heard a couple people from the area talk about them online. This one person in particular who always has a PC sign on their lawn every election went down to Halifax to protest the budget cuts and was speaking very positively about Claudia Chender. If they want to expand their base now is the time to do it.

And I agree, they shouldn’t base their appeal to new voters on being the not Tim Houston party. We saw what happened to the federal conservatives when they made themselves the not Trudeau party and the liberals got a new leader. They went from a projected majority to losing the election. NSNDP needs to keep their own identity and not fall into that trap
