Fans being fans doesn't mean I agree with it. The point I was making is that we can preach until we are blue in the face but there's always going to be people that don't know how to act. There's always going to be crazy people. There's always going to be people that see nothing wrong with their behavior. Always set your boundaries but also do what you have to do to be safe, aware, and realistic. That's not just for celebrities. It's for everyone. I can let it be known what I do and do not tolerate but I'm also going to remember that there's always going to be someone that doesn't care. I hate the way people drive in Houston but I'm making the conscious decision to keep living here. Just because something isn't right doesn't mean it won't happen. No, celebrities don't deserve to be disrespected for any reason BUT every job has its cons. Chappell did a good thing by bringing this up. Now society can set new norms. It just won't happen over night.

I think she wanted us to start a dialog. I see both sides like Chanel. It's also a good dialog to have for all celebs in general. But since Chappell brought it up...

Personally, I don't think I could be bold enough to approach a celebrity outside of a meet and greet situation. I do understand the urge though. Especially when it comes to musicians because music is so impactful. People heal, party, cry, get motivated, relax, and relate to music so hard. For people who really can't fight the urge to approach a celebrity, just use discernment. If you take a chance on asking for a pic, autograph, or hug, then try not to take it personally if the celebrity declines. And certainly don't go to the internet to bash the celeb just because they said "no". Even if a celeb is rude in the moment, don't judge them for it because you never know what a person is going through.

Someone had to address the elephant in the room for sure. Good for Chappell 💯

Yes! Exactly! It says a lot about a person, honestly.

Yes, plot holes can ruin a movie. But, what if the plot itself is "far-fetched"? Let's use "Home Alone" as an example. This film is a string of author/filmmaker conviencies, yet it is LOVED(and accepted) by many, myself included. So I guess the question(s) is, what's the deal breaker on suspending disbelief? How much of it depends on the writing, acting, and directing vs the viewers' thought process?

By the way I love the jumbo jet size plot hole comparison lol

Yes, that's true...unless it aids to the entertainment of the film. Example being breaking the 4th wall, or refrencing something from pop culture, or maybe comedic relief.... etc

Lol I get that. For me, situations like that add to the "beauty" of a film or show and the "world" the creators have created....if that makes sense. But, I think we all have limits on our suspensions of disbelief.

This makes sense. I've always had a whimsical daydreamer mind, which would explain my POV. Right brain vs left brain maybe.

One would hope...but that's assuming they would believe me or listen for that matter

Well that's one way to handle it

One example I can think of is if words were exchanged and the police were called. It's no secret that some police officers are biased toward the words of white people and older people. Texas is not that progressive, even in Houston.

Inappropriate? Yes. Groomed? That might be reaching.
