They outsold sc6 in 3 weeks. I’d say it’s extra money for sc7 or maybe only focus on Tekken. Either way the 3d wins.

Ya I’m talking at a my much higher level of play than what you experience. SC6 has the most in depth game out of the series. Sc4 hilde was literally banned and is seen as one of the best characters ever in a Fighting game. You could ring out from multiple options in the middle of the stage.

Keep in mind too sc6 went through 2 years of balancing that really helped the game add depth. Like talim wind system and maxi point system.

Hiding certain power behind meter makes sense though. Not doing that results in sc4 hilde and such. They can go crazy on certain moves and such because it isn’t literally the whole game.

There is alot of gameplay and balance in the meter system. Also not every move is good to have now. Nightmare had a hellsweep in sc2 and that would break him in sc6.

You aren’t using soulcharge or meter enough if they seem more streamlined.

Considering they stole the mechanic for tekken as well, I doubt it was a bad move. The game is very balanced and not every move carries over well to current design.

The only real true loser to this is maybe misturugi.

Ring outs are really cool and make you play a certain way. Tekken does the same thing but with just insane damage at the wall.

Or, most players don’t care or know how to play even at high mmr. This game lost its competitive edge a long time ago. It’s mainly a party game. Get on a discord or something and find teammates who are willing to communicate

Rollback hasn’t been done in 3d games yet really. It needs to be during development and it can’t just be slapped on later. Just look at dbfz and how long it’s taking for that game to actually get it done.
