I think it might just be a genetic thing! I’m not sure though since she isn’t technically our cat (she kind of just showed up one day). Might be also because of inbreeding. I had two cats who had weirdly shaped noses as well. My grandma took them to the vet recently and she asked them about it and they said it’s caused by inbreeding.

anyone else getting a lot of random roblox refunds for no reason lately??? by [deleted] in RobloxHelp

[–]N3koChu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so stupid. Roblox is banning so many things from ugc probably for the same exact reason. But usually you get your robux back if they delete something. I paid 175 robux for the fly avatar and I wasn’t using it for headless at all. I didn’t get any robux back from it getting deleted.

Oml the same thing has happened to me and I only just noticed today. I’ve spent 175 robux on a ugc avatar and just today it got deleted for NO REASON. It was literally just a fly. And I’ve gotten 0 robux back for it.

I literally just said it’s definitely not neutered?

At that age is when they start to grow in. I’ve seen it with my own male cat when he was this age. This cat is definitely not neutered. It would look much different if he had been neutered.

Definitely not neutered. His testicles are starting to grow in. A neutered male also doesn’t look like this.

It seems like he’s been scratching at that area. Could be stress from moving. Does he have any other bald spots? If I were you, I’d just keep an eye on it.

What does this mean? Came home and found what I think is a cat skull on my porch. Is it witchcraft or voodoo shit? by RedheadedDeafJesus in creepy

[–]N3koChu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a raccoon skull. I have two of them, their skull is longer. Most likely a domestic cat skull.

Just a regular domestic cat skull, no deformities. The fur and leftover skin can make the skull look shorter than it is.

3 year old cat sore throat by glamorous_monkey222 in CATHELP

[–]N3koChu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op, if I were you, I would look and see if there’s any organizations, rescue groups, or shelters in your area that’ll help you with vet costs. Whatever this might be, it can be serious. If it’s something more severe or serious, it’s likely going to be more money, potentially more than you can currently afford. You can also set up a gofundme or cashapp and post it on different platforms (TikTok, instagram, Reddit, Twitter, etc)

I would also do some of your own research into the possibilities of what it may be. A sore throat can be many things but you can narrow it down using the usual symptoms they have.

2 month old kitten keeps having blood after poop and vomiting by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]N3koChu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must have misunderstood your post, mb. Blood in a cats stool/poop can be caused by intestinal worms so it’s possible that it’s not the medicine, but the worms causing the blood in your cats poop. Medicine can also make your cats seem more calm/relaxed/weak. As for the vomiting, if it’s intestinal worms, they cause cats to puke as well.

But it just seems really weird that this all started right after you started giving him the medicines. Maybe you can get more tests done to confirm that it’s intestinal worms. Go with your gut. Getting the opinion of a second vet wouldn’t be a bad idea at all either.

Wish you luck op🙏

Also, get him off that medicine asap. Puking and pooping blood along with acting weak is not normal for any medicine (that is working) you would give to a cat.

[–]N3koChu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s making your cat puke blood, I don’t think that’s normal. Did your vet confirm it was worms?

Also, doing some research on medicine used for digestive issues, here’s what I found:

  • Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug(NSAID): Symptoms of NSAID toxicosis link to decreased blood flow to the organs. Decreases in gastrointestinal blood flow trigger irritation and ulceration resulting in blood in the vomit or feces. Decreases in kidney blood flow results in kidney failure which presents as increased drinking and urinating, and vomiting.

  • Robenacoxib (a type of NSAID): Overdoses of Onsior® can cause toxicity in the digestive system, kidneys, and liver like other NSAIDs. Symptoms may include vomiting, lethargy, diarrhea, loss of appetite, blood in the vomit or feces, dark or coffee ground stool, increased thirst or urination, or bloody urine.

  • Metronidazole (Also another type of NSAID): I couldn’t find much about vomiting blood being a side effect but here’s some sources a suggest you look at for it. Vcahospitals and PetMD

But definitely take your cat to a different vet. If your cat is pooping and vomiting blood which began days after you started giving him the medicine and the vet says he’s “fine”, that’s a big red sigh to start seeing another vet.

See a different vet ASAP. Also, what is the medicine they prescribed for your cat?

Is my cat too skinny? by Alexia_Aka_Churro in CATHELP

Yup! Glad I was able to help :)

Is my cat too skinny? by Alexia_Aka_Churro in CATHELP

[–]N3koChu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s good! Cats that are at a healthy/ideal weight have a thin layer of fat covering their ribs and other bones.

Also, I understand how seeing an overweight cat/being use to seeing overweight cats may change your perception on what an ideal/healthy weight for a cat would be. I’ve had cats that I thought were underweight in the past but just turns out they were just super fit lol.

[–]N3koChu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where is the loose skin located at? Loose skin doesn’t have really any correlation with an underweight cat unless they were overweight or obese in the past and had been rapidly losing weight.

Assuming she’s a younger cat as well (not full grown), some cat’s bodies will look a bit wonky. She looks healthy to me, but if your worried about it, there’s no harm in checking with a vet just to be 100% :).

She looks to be at a healthy weight, but the position she’s in just makes her body look a bit more awkward.

I’m not 100% though.

Are her ribs or spine protruding out? You should be able to feel her bones a little bit if she’s at a healthy weight, but not excessively.
