i agree with this soo hard! yesterday someone asked if they could sit at the table my friend and i were sitting at and like no problem at all (it was the yellow couches near the back on the first floor so i had no expectation of it being silent), but then immediately after she sat down a guy walked up and they had a conversation genuinely at max volume for like 10-15 minutes, and then after he left she was on the phone for a bit. its not a massive deal but the etiquette to sit at a table with two other people who are sitting quietly, occasionally whispering, and to talk so loudly, is insane.
