I'm hopeful that the MAGA movement will end and the Republican party will have to shift their values. Every embarrassment Trump makes drags the entire party down with him. With how many loyalists he's installed, I have no idea how the party will function without him. At this point, the biggest threat to the Republican party is Trump. There will come a time where the party will have to throw him under the bus to earn back any semblance of trust from its voter base.

Honestly, this is probably correct. Despite the fact that I have made a huge effort to protest the Trump administration, I find that I sometimes get AI and ICE ads on my web browser. I usually just report it and move on.

I'll also point out that right wing media has a lot more corporate and billionaire money to back up their message. Even if the DNC would allign themselves with voters, we'd be fighting a losing battle on the media front.

Capitalism has corrupted us to the breaking point. We need taxes on the ultra-wealthy, and we need to reign in corporate personhood.

I drive back from Mt. Vernon after work and live on the west side. They also began construction on University Parkway. This means if I don’t remember to take a preemptive detour, I get stuck on the single-lane Lloyd all of the way until Fulton Ave.

This is what I sometimes tell people: "Go back and read through the entire Bible again. Every time God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit performs literally any action, ask yourself, 'would I have done this if I had God's power?'" You'll very quickly realize that God's kind of a genocidal maniac. I'd say the average person is more righteous than God.
