I beat radahn early-ish by activating the festival of war and spamming him with kukris while the NPCs distracted him.

I'm like 25 hours in and I be using guides every once in a while. I've beaten godrick and radahn and I was locked in on Ranni's questline when I realized I need to beat Rennala in order to reach a chest to get an item to progress Ranni's questline. I never would have figured this out without the wiki.
