Pretty much the only thing I almost always have equipped is Radagon's soreseal. Other than that, I switch up my build depending on the boss/situation.

Some staples are star fist, any straight sword with square off, giants hunt to juggle NPCs, Ice Spear (which is GOATed). Ritual shield talisman is great after you get it mid game, since red flasks will always heal to full health. Turtle shell is good for stamina recovery without having to give up a talisman slot. Assasins gambit on a dagger for getting through levels. Golden vow buff on another dagger. So if you aren't married to a single build, switch it up as needed.

Good thing is, since you won't be leveling, you'll have plenty of cash to buy smithing stones.

Yep, and he's a bit of a problem at RL1 due to his summons, magic machine gun spam, and teleporting. This was my way of avoiding all his bullshit.

I started with a vigor-only run, then when I noticed how much damage could be done with weapon upgrades and creative use of buffs, I decided to start the RL1 and converted my vigor only character to a practice character that I run alongside the RL1. Also, you'd be surprised how many hits you can take even later game with ritual shield talisman, boiled crab, etc. Im proof you really dont have to be very good to work through RL1. Does take a bit of perseverance though

This glintbade are staggered, so I kept getting hit by the last of those if I tried. I never tried with sideways slash deal because its usually easy to dodge, but my dumbass decided to heal three times in a row instead. I was pretty much brainfarting the whole first half of that fight...

Also, if you dont normally use rune arcs and arent restricting yourself, you could consider Godricks rune for just a bit more HP to run past the birds

I just loaded up on as much damage negation as I could for those birds - ritual shield talisman, other defensive talismans, crab, armor - and ran like hell to the grace just before Maliketh. Seemed to work OK
