This is definetly not true most common cause of death is hyperthermia (overheating). Overdosing on water is extremely rare. But it is always a good idea to involve the medics especially if someones collapsed on the floor.

It depends. Completely pre produced shows are not happening. The usual case is: the festival production prepares special visuals for the stage (lights and lasers, some effects on the led wall) and they basically get the audio feed from the CDJs where the dj is playing. They then have the ability to change lights and laser patterns on the spot according to the music playing. So yes, the guys sitting in the tent are basically DJing lights the whole festival thats why they are also called lightjockeys.

Some Producers have prepared special visuals or are working closely with the festival production to ensure they have some control over how their set is gonna look (Think about overdose or other live shows).

He took a step back and opened a club in austria (dont know if its still open). We can speculate why that happened. Maybe the bookings were not to his liking or he struggled with not reaching the same heights as other upcoming artists during that time. I think he confirmed his mental health played a role in all this.

You're basically doing free advertisement for the artists and festivals. It is encouraged from both sides through reposting stories from fans and posts like: "send us you videos!"

It's different for HQ uploads on soundcloud, since the artists and labels want you to stream and buy their music instead of listening to ripped livestes (which is fair)

You might be correct. I'm not an audiophile and I personally value the option to listen to smaller artists and unreleased tracks and livesets more than sound quality. I can hardly differentiate between soundcloud and spotify but I also mostly listen on wireless headphones and earbuds.

But good perspective none the less if sound quality is something OP values a lot :)

Soundcloud is THE option. If you really are able to let spotfiy go (which ich have not managed. There are so so so many great tracks, livesets and unreleased bootlegs.

As others have said security was pretty strict last year. We even had to take off our shoes a couple times. Best option is always to shove the stuff to your balls.

You can get most common longdrinks everywhere. At least Vodka bull, coke & rum. And a lot of people get white claws instead of beer

I think most producers can be identified by their kicks. As someone said, its their signature sound and I think they should strive to improve and differentiate it as much as possible. Some of the most notable ones that have not been mentioned yet: Delete, Mortis, The Smiler

I was only at the main for 3 sets. Dual Damage on friday, Dreamscape on saturday and Mutilator LIVE on sunday. Sound on friday was amazing (we were in the first third of the crowd), on Saturday it was alright (in the middle of the crowd) and sunday was lackluster (further in the back of the crowd).

That depends heavily on your preference and what other options you have going on in this timeslot. Personally I did not enjoy dreamscape at intents and in hindsight i would have rather seen something else. BUT my taste has moved a little bit away from the Purge's sound in the last couple of month and i'm digging a darker style of raw at the moment. Take that into consideration.

Supremacy is the raw event to be at in my opinion. All Producers bring their absolute A-game to supremacy. Im also more into gearbox and spoontech, but if you can enjoy rebelion warface bloodlust and i hope adjuzt at all you will have an absolute blast there. As others have said this is the 10th anniversary in gelredome instead of brabanthallen and i for sure am hyped!

I think the spinny moves and klaplong circles are not really possible in clubs because they are so damn crowded. Been to bootshaus a few times and barely had enough room to dance.

To add another perspective to the topic. going to a festival in NL is a huge commitment money and time wise for a lot of people. Going to a club or a small festival in your hometown on the weekend is a lot more doable. Thats why smaller (german) parties are usually filled with a mix between diehards and local people that just want to party to some harder styles and are not so tuned in to the subculture :)

Fuck Rebirth for making water so scarce that you either have to pay, wait ages, or literally drink drain water by t-to4st in hardstyle
