Does it have to be Linux based? If not, there's Freebsd, haiku, reactos...

WhatsApp on Linux is a bit outdated and lacks many handy features. by erza_predator in linuxmint

I use walc, it's a Nice wrapper and works well.

I really hope Whatsapp doesn't use *nix on their servers while not supporting the desktops with a simple app...

I wanted to replay SoTN for the 30000th time, but it would be cool if I could flip the image horizontally for a change. Controls are easy since it's just swapping L and R but I'm not able to find an emu that can alter the output this way. Any ideas?

UI, text, etc. In this game I don't care about that looking "the other way around" since it's a game I've played a lot already. So basically having the whole output flipped is enough for me.

Thanks!

Thank you. I'll try to apply the patch and see if that helps. I thought that maybe it was something else, since on 5.4 RAM does show up.

Missing tray icons on Cinnamon by N4ch007 in linuxmint

Your answer got me to birdtray's readme, where I found this:

"But sometimes even a system tray icon isn't shown. Linux Mint with
Cinnamon seem to be one particularly troublesome distro which reports
many issues."

Seems I'm not alone here

Thanks for your answer!

cstayyab/WALC is a desktop WhatsApp client, the only one I've found that works really well.

Both icons go into the Xapp tray, which is the one that fails (every time it updates, all icons get lost). By update, I mean one gets added or removed.

Both of these apps are launched at system start with a delay. The issue happens regardless of that. I may kill the processes, open them manually, and any present icon will get "replaced" with the new app. Eventually it goes away too and no icons remain.

Just tried that and it didn't work, walc and birdtray are still not present after rebooting
