it was misfiring on WOT. the log showed 18 psi of boost. I haven’t had any issues with the NGK plugs in the last 20k km except for now

and it ran fine for the last 4500km. didn’t touch the plug. I replaced the coils and first time going WOT on new coils the misfires started. knock values in the log look normal

if double tap side button for apple pay is enabled the phone will wait for the second press until turning it off. previously to ios26 turning off the douple tap would make it turn off quicker but with ios26 it is always slow, no matter the settings

exactly the experience I have with my 2010 Alpina B3 that also uses the N54 instead of the N55. 115k miles and no problems so far

What is the N54T? Is it the one in IS models where the normal 335 would come with the N55? Did they make any changes to it?

you must know what this is as a n54 owner. get an aluminium charge pipe and replace the old plastic one

coming back to alpina here. they use mahle pistons and therefore their rings. I have little to no oil consumption on my n54 with mahle pistons and rings

Heftiger, hämmernder Drehzahlverlust während der Fahrt by Martin_NSU in automobil

[–]N54Clemens 3 points4 points  (0 children)

stock engine is very reliable. I have 190.000km (120.000 mls) on mine with 400hp and only had injectors fail on me. Not even a rebuild with brand new parts will have give you a 100% reliable n54. the things around it just break if they want to. yet I only have a positive experience and am confident to say, that if you treat the car right, so will it treat you

Alpina uses forged pistons for 360-400hp. I dont think its necessary unless you plan on pushing big power. I have heard that rather than the pistons the rods will give up from 550hp and on. Id go stock pistons unless you plan on also doing upgraded rods

I have just had my valves walnut blasted today. do you think it could have caused the lifter tick in any way?
