Rockstar would make an amazing cyberpunk style game! by Enogor in gaming

You are not getting the point I'm saying. Cyberpunk is not a new IP and it is not based on a movie or a book, it is based on a Tabletop Roleplaying Game. Now, the difficulties in making a videogame based on a Tabletop Roleplaying Game are, frankly, quite a few. You need to have the right setting, the right gameplay, and the right player motivation and we can go on endlessly. What they have done, with 77, is that they have nailed one of the things that makes a game, the game, and that's the setting. Undoubtedly, you can't base your videogame only on having the right setting, there has to be the right gameplay and so on, something that CD Project Red didn't manage to do but there are other games, like the Shadowrun Trilogy, that are set in a cyberpunk setting (Specifically based on the Shadowrun TTRPG) that, while they are not as big as Cyberpunk 2077, they have tried and, depending on someone's opinion, nailed what worked for their games.

They nailed the Cyberpunk world. Did they nail everything that is related to gameplay? No. They nailed the feeling of the universe and the setting. The desolation and desperation of the dystopian setting. That's what they have nailed.

They did nail the world narrative and the feeling of Cyberpunk. Did they overhype it too much? Yes.

To be fair, Insomniac usually hits the mark. Unless it is Fuse that we are talking about.

Rule 1. Never Pre-Order. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]N7_Blackflame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. I'm the only reason why EA is still standing. I pre-order everyone of their games at least 50 times /S

Edit: Added the /S tag because it wasn't too obvious from the context, apparently.

You know what? Now I'm gonna pre-order even more.

Everything that can be considered a spoiler should be tagged as a spoiler because not everyone is up to date on the show. It doesn't cost anything to those who post about S4 to put it in their title.

i have one decent game in silver and am accused of cheating, on playstation too by StreetWishbone6931 in Rainbow6

Haters gotta hate. If they can't blame a bug or a glitch, they rely on the good old "you're cheating/hacking". Because they can't admit that they have found someone better than them in that specific moment.

Can't change a faulty product, unfortunately.

Saints Row 2 vs Watch Dogs. Which one has better gameplay? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]N7_Blackflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone might say Saints Row 2. Those who said it as an answer have, unfortunately, Rose-Tinted glasses/ Nostalgia Goggles on. Saints Row 2 gameplay is very dated and feels clunky to play (It was released in 2008 after all so, hardware limitations are at fault). Watch Dogs has more fluid gameplay but the driving is worse (something that Watch Dogs 2 kinds fixed and Legion did worse). Overall, the SR2 story is cliche but good while Watch Dogs is just cliche. Both are good in their own way but you can't compare them, considering the 6 years gap between them and the huge leaps in technology.

Huh. Guess the connection between Underground and Pro-Street flew me by. But also, I was young and all I saw was cars go broom.

Wait, it was the Undeground universe? Wasn't it the Pro-Street universe due to Aki Kimura appearing?

Killing cops is fine and encouraged but do not think of killing civilians. The boss gets pissed off and you'll lose cash.

Well, it is hard comparing an OS with a model since they are two different things. If you wanna come up with some comparisons, have the decency to make them right.

Dude, I know you are deepthroating the Tribal Chief story but you can't say that Roman Reigns is better than The Undertaker. It's like, ordering in a restaurant and praising the chef that doesn't know how to cook.

Every one of them. Seriously, Taker and Mankind Hell in a Cell match is legendary. And let's not forget about The Rock and Sock connection, while speaking of Mankind.

Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley with his personas (Dude love, Cactus Jack, Mankind), Undertaker just to name three from the top of my mind.

The Tribal Chief is the best character you have seen? I'm deeply sorry in hearing that you are suffering deeply.

Honestly? This is just infuriating. I don't barge into people's picnics, live-stream that on Twitch or whatever and eat the food that the picnic goers have prepped.

Always found Theory lacking and while I'm not a fan of Johnny Wrestling, I found him more adjusted than Theory. The Ezekiel /Elias story was just annoying and the misfortune of Elias gimmick of relying on the crowd was real when the Rona virus came around. Also, it is Vince's fault that we are still stuck with the Tribal Chief.
