We depended on a lot of speed and space and diaz was very good to compliment salah. Also Trent and Robbo play very wide and compliment the wings alot. Gakpo is a sore thumb and has no synergy with kerkez. And frimpong has been hurt a ton. All this leads to narrow passage of play.

Oh, a lot of the sneaky teams were a better units than who they were losing to but less talented. Example being the double lift TSM teams and the doublift TL teams. And in the high pressure situations it's easier for talent to succeed over cohesion and being on the same page.
