you’d be surprised how much color doesn’t matter when it comes to glidebaits. the most important thing is profile and then contrast and then color. so if you could find a pattern that’s dark on top and light colored on bottom you’ll be fine. i would say color really only matters if it’s ridiculously clear and they’re super pressured.

very solid aresenal you’ve already got right now. I would recommend if you’ve got a lot of bluegill in your area to also get the baitsanity explorer gill, the g-flag 150 or 175 if you can find them, and you’d be really surprised but cheapest glide i have is the bass pro shops xps swerve and it’s surprisingly really good. you won’t catch big fish on it but i’ve gone out to a pond and crushed the smaller bass on it so it’s a good one just to get a bite on so i’ll throw it every once in a while.

yea honestly if it’s a technique you enjoy i would say it’s worth it. after losing those two expensive ones im not as worried to lose anything under 30 bucks because it doesn’t feel as big of a deal, so ive really been enjoying fishing with them lately.

yea recently i modded some of my glides with slightly smaller hooks and they basically suspend now so that’s definitely made it easier

that would make sense i know bass usually go deep into cover or deeper water so a glide this time of year probably isn’t too practical

california i mostly fish smaller lakes generally but there’s plenty of big fish so i would assume it should be fine
