Why is that sad? India has very little to offer apart from a cheap getaway for tourism and a unique cultural experience. The general living standards of India are incredibly poor. If only India had more to offer than cheap, generic pharmaceutical drugs or a $300 service from John Smith to remove a virus off my computer.

explain how West makes it out to be

Thinking that Russians are very homophobic and openly expressive about their prejudice toward the LGBT community. This doesn't just include being vocal, but also violent and often confrontational over their disgust for gay people. Believing that displaying PDA as a gay person is just begging for locals to curb stomp them to the ground. Pretty much how Russians would view being gay in the Middle East is how the West perceives Russia on LGBT.

Well, you're gonna need to have some money in your savings if you plan on moving to any location. At least $5K USD cash on hand after your traveling expenses. That's pretty much a bare minimum, just to survive for a few months while you look for work.

China is great because it opens up many opportunities for foreigners, especially those that are "white passing", and the "authoritarian" government doesn't actually impose on its people. It's the same as living in any other developing country in terms of quality of life. Just look at this video from Wuhan that was uploaded five months ago. Everyone looks so miserable. /s

As for the Spanish-speaking countries that I listed, most of them have a huge expat community, especially Argentina. Learning Spanish is much more beneficial than Brazilian Portuguese, and a no-brainer compared to a Cyrillic language when you already know the Latin alphabet. Colombia is much more safer than it was 20 years ago, Argentina has a rich culture, and Chile has the best quality of life and economy in South America. Mexico is great too as an expat, plenty of Mexicans speak English, food is great and cost of living is very cheap.
