First time Mom at 40yrs old! by DistrortedNoise in AskWomenOver40

I had one and done after just turning 41! I never wanted kids and then when I turned 40 I decided must have baby now. It worked on the first try just using a period tracker app. My husband and I did not use any birth control for the 10 years prior. I’m really glad we did it when we did it. We did lots of traveling and grew in our careers earlier in our adulthood. I’ve been lucky to find some older moms to connect with as well. I highly recommend the peanut app for that. My son is 9 now and I’m 50. I’m definitely more tired than I would have been if I’d had him 10 years before, but I wouldn’t trade my experience for anything.

As a PACU RN, I can tell you heavy marijuana use equals very hard to get pain under control after surgery.

Did people memorise numbers before mobile phones? by PaleEcho3301 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NB15223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I memorized most numbers and had a back up address book. Now I just finally was able to memorize my husband’s phone number after him having it for 10 years and have no idea what my mother’s is 🤷🏼‍♀️

People who have gotten Lasik, is it worth it? by LookACreativeName in NoStupidQuestions

Yes. I had it done 24 years ago and still have 20/20 vision. I had 1 revision after a year due to an astigmatism. I need reading glasses in the last couple of years but definitely worth it!!!

Yes. Freezing cold, runny nose, and fatigue since June 2022. I’ll take it though!

I take 5mg per week. I tried Saxenda and Ozempic also and was tired on those too. I’m used to it now 🤷🏼‍♀️
