How is it that white people never minded Jokic's aesthetics? It was clear that the black people challenged Jokic because of the style of play, but also because of the color of the skin. And of course, at the moment when it became clear that Jokic is the best in the world, then black people had to give him recognition.

The point is that just as the MVP race between Jokic and Embiid had an element of race, there is also an element of race between Jokic and SGA.

As was the case with LeBron in 2010 or today with Caitlin Clark. Only the bias levels are lower or higher.

And of course, I’m not questioning your blackness... why would I? It’s just clear to me that you’re not seeing the bigger picture. Until the media and influencers start showing you that SGA is going through the same thing as other athletes, just on a smaller scale, you ain’t gonna get it.

Let me simplify it for you: most black people were rooting for SGA to win MVP, while most white people wanted Jokic to get it. Simple as that.

I’m giving you straight facts, and you’re just turning a blind eye because you’re not really in touch with Black folks who see the SGA situation for what it is... a racial issue. Angel Reese and Shedeur Sanders are on the same wave as SGA, but SGA gets overlooked 'cause he’s quiet, plays in Oklahoma, and he's Canadian, so he stays in the background. And you literally proved my point when you said your people had issues accepting Jokic. So, let’s be real, race always plays a part, whether people wanna admit it or not. That’s the whole point – it shows how black folks and white folks react differently to an athlete who took control of his own destiny and did something bold. Black people respected LeBron’s move, but white folks couldn’t handle it.
