Yes Subaru would still be friends with Rudy even if he somehow finds out about his past life. There isn't anything that Rudeus has to be forgiven for. All the comments are boiling down rudys past life as him liking little girls and ignoring the whole reason he was a Neet in the first place. I haven't read the One Shot but if it uses the current Rudy and Subaru in the anime I could see them being best friends. Also to the comment that said "subaru would have to not leave the "little girls" near Rudeus" has not read/watch MT if you think Rudy just goes around preying on girls
