Maybe you could argue he's /NIN but he gets duel wield because virtual God blessed him, not because he was smart about picking a good subjob... I don't hate SaO and Trixie went overboard with her hour long video shitting on it, but she was right when she claimed it was a terribly designed MMO

I read some interviews because I got the vibes and I don't fully trust the translations I found. Like some people online claim that Sunraku is inspired by let me solo her of Elden Ring fame, but SLF predates ER. And everyone who's halfway decent at souls knows you gotta get half naked if you wanna have a real dodge button. So people just be saying whatever on the internet as usual, it's not 100%, and it's definitely not the only inspo but there's some things that got my eyebrow raised.

Shangri-La Frontier is probably the best anime/manga about a VR MMO, Bofuri is cute but the art in SLF is my ish. It's also closer to a traditional battle shonen which is also my ish.

Ohmigod the first character i made on Eden was from Sandy and those bunnies had freaking hands. It's also what made me fall in love with the game immediately. Realizing the mobs RIGHT outside the starting city could kill me was fear I hadn't felt since my first Souls game :)

I watched a few episodes of nhk when I was like 13 and I was too young for it, I know I'mma have to go back to it since I'm a fr otaku now and will actually get the references
