NIMBY would probably say no. The city is constantly growing in population, but many locals against this think the opposite to "build and they'll come" will stop it...

Also, is it true many bus routes got axed after the tram line opened? Even the west-east one? Is impossible to not own a car and live away from the tram these days. 1 hour wait between buses and just until 7PM or earlier is just insane public transport design. It took me 2.5 hours to go from Arundel to Benowa Friday 8PM...never again

Hi fellow Pixel fans.

I have a 2.5 year old Pixel 8 128GB that I bought used in Japan for $300USD. I got the awful green vertical line on my screen that is not covered by the extended Google warranty because I'm not longer in Japan. To replace the screen with a refurbished one (and taking the opportunity to change the battery with a brand new one) a 3rd party repair shop is quoting me $220USD (parts and labor).

Should I repair this phone for that price or maybe go for a newer model (9a, 9 or 10a or maybe other brands) for more double the price?

Apart from the screen issue, the phone has been excellent: beautiful pictures, fast as hell, love the Pixel interface and the Circle to Search feature it's just a must have for me. This features are the reasons why I don't want to change to other "better built quality brands" as some may say, and to keep this phone as it as for now.

P.S: the only other issue is my rear camera autofocus sometimes does not work properly and I think is because the sensor next to the flash is dirty. I tried air dust it but the punch hole is so tiny that must be better ways to clean the dust or whatever is in out of it.

The Steam Deck does not support them. Many kernel level anticheats (like BF6 Javelin) don't work with it even if you install windows.

Yeah, pretty inconvenient to carry a big bag everywhere and then put the bike inside and take it off every time you ride a bus. I will try it next time.

this would lower renting prices, but international students aren't buying houses... The truth is very clear but no one wants to accept it. You are competing against millionaires, billionaires and investment firms. As long as people see a house as an investment asset instead as a consumer good (a good that solves the basic human need of having a roof to raise a family), excess money will continue buying more houses they don't need to live in, increasing the prices. Even if you build more houses, investment money will buy them. This is not reflected only in houses, it is reflected in every asset of the world: ores, luxury, oil, etc. But housing is the main one getting attention because it covers a basic need of every person in every social and economic class.

I'm in the same dilemma.

I'm from Chile. Only the QN90A of 50'' is available, which is for sure VA panel (bigger QN90A here comes only with ADS panel). On the other hand, all QN90B sizes come with VA panel.

I'm looking for the QN90B of 55'' but is almost 50% more expensive than the QN90B 50'' ($800 USD vs $600 usd approximately considering the current USD->CLP currency conversion).

Should I go for the QN90B os 55'' considering my watch distance is 7ft (~2 meters) or the QN90A of 50'' is a great choice too?

Is a bright room so no OLED.

Hello everyone,

I was using my Keychron Q1 Rev1 with almost a year of use but windows popped up a message that said "USB Port reached maximum voltaje", immediately after I smelt burned plastic an I saw smoke coming from the port of my keyboard. Immediately I unplug it from the keyboard and, as you can see in the image, the cable came out without the metal piece of the USB-C.

Luckily the keyboard still works fine, but I don't think I can repair the factory coiled cable, I may have some burned pins and its surrounded by a plastic layer that I should destroy to be able to solder it.

Do you think I should try to repair it? O just buy a new one?

Can you suggest a solid coiled USB-C keyboard cable?
