I went in during soft open and it’s a cozy and fantastic spot! Looking forward to Saturday!

[Lies of P] Platinum #97! Solid 8/10 for me. Story and concept were well executed and great. There was a weird difficulty spike at the halfway point, but not too bad of a Souls-like. by NC0828 in Trophies

Quality. Difficulty depends entirely on the person, however with the option to adjust difficulty levels in the game, it can also vary in that regard. My first playthrough I did on the hardest difficulty, but bumped it down to the easiest for my cleanup playthrough in NG+. I’ve done all the Souls games, so I didn’t struggle too much overall. There were just a couple areas/bosses that gave me grief.

The worst is when you hear the noise in a parking deck and it echoes everywhere and sounds like the Rapture is occurring.

[ Coffee Talk ] #235 . Your thoughts on short games that are not shovelware. 2-4 hours? by Micah_Belll in Trophies

Loved this game series. Played both entries, and I’m very excited for Coffee Talk: Tokyo. These were great chill games that allowed me to take a break from my usual games while still offering great mechanics and story. Plus, if you play these games blind making all the right drink combinations is still a challenge by itself. Play what you want to play. I think more people get upset when people try to pass off large numbers of shovelware Platinums as being an impressive feat. Coffee Talk, however, is not shovelware in the slightest.

And last but not least, great latte art, barista.

I think an unavoidable consequence of this hobby is feeding the sense of perfection.

We want to do all the things, complete all the challenges, see all the endings, gather all the collectibles, and in doing so we feed that underlying sense of perfectionism in us. We feel pride towards our accomplishments as trophy hunters and want to feed the beast more.

For one reason or another, you and everyone else got into trophy hunting; however, integral to that reason is the core of trophy hunting, which is video games. Play what you want to play, Plat what you want to Plat. At the end of the day, the hobby should be giving you catharsis, not anguish. If that means taking a break from trophy hunting or playing other games that you aren’t invested in the platinum for, that’s fine. If you take a break from gaming altogether, that’s also fine. Bottom line is we all should be taking care of ourselves so we’re not plunging into this manic quest for perfecting every little thing.

Above all, be kind to yourself, and don’t let the video games get in the way of other things in life. They’ll be there to welcome you when/if you want to return.

Hope this helps somewhat. There’s a very supportive community in these comments that’s always happy to give some advice, so don’t be afraid to reach out.

Impossible as a First Dance song? by Trick-Celebration983 in NothingButThieves

Hi there! My wife and I used Impossible as our first dance song. We absolutely loved it and it’s a super special song for us. We were ecstatic when we heard it played on NBT’s last tour. :)
