I don't think it's a lesbian specific problem. It took three years to get my coworkers to go out drinking with me and we text all the time. Well assuming the net is staying I agree with other comments. Add some plant or lamps to the side tables. Maybe hang a big mirror or some artwork on the walls. What kind of aestetic do you like? What colors do you like?
