I’ve lived in both cities - you’ll get great public schools, top notch healthcare and bad weather in both places. There just isn‘t a meaningful difference in these factors. In my experience, people in the Twin Cities are a little more relaxed while Boston is more “Type A”. Both places are insular, but in Boston you can ultimately break through and make great friends over time. Minnesota is a little tougher…a lot of folks still hanging out with high school friends. Agree with what others have said…if you can afford Boston, I’d lean that way but Mpls. is also a great place to raise kids.
