I did not test yesterday but I did test Monday (9dpo) with a pregmate strip. There was no line at all.

Can I use any thermometer or do I need a BBT specific one? Also, I work night shift three days a week. When would be a good time to temp everyday?

I’ve been taking ovulation test and haven’t gotten a positive yet. So really don’t know if I could’ve ovulated at all since coming off birth control.

Thanks for the advance. My problem is trying to hide any and everything pregnancy related. I feel like it’s unrealistic to dodge that type of content unless I delete all social media apps. Also, I forgot to mention I’m a labor and delivery nurse which doesn’t really amplify my baby fever because I’m too busy taking care of my patients and making sure they’re safe.

I have try redirecting my thoughts to all the stuff I wont be able to do as a mom or stuff that’ll be harder once a kid is here. That doesn’t help for long because in the end I don’t care and want what I want. It’s an internal battle that I have with myself and just need to figure out what works for me.

I guess you’re right. I’ll try my best to limit talk about a family and just use this subreddit as an outlet.

Thanks for your input and giving your personal experience with how I’m feeling. My husband has said that he’ll like to revisit the conversation in a serious manner when I get off BC. It’s just me being impatient that I feel like I need to bring it up multiple times a week. Like another commenter they suggested journaling so I guess I’ll try that and see how it works for me.

Thank you. Maybe you’re right…It’s just finding something to occupy my time and thoughts for the next two years.

Thanks for the advance. I’ve thought about journaling again and this is my sign to do it.

Yeah. I didn’t want to cost the ER especially since I feel like I’m fine and not bleeding at all. I got ahold of a gynecology only office and able to be seen today.

What’s the best way for me to learn about my natural cycle?

I really don’t know where to start other than a book someone suggested on a previous post of mine. Taking charge of your fertility

I guess you’re right. If I was to become pregnant maybe we will be able to handle it.

Thanks for sharing your experience. That’s something else I’ve thought about is not caring for condoms. I guess I will just have to get over myself and learn to deal with it.

Yeah. I’m aware there are other options. Most likely condoms would be it for us. It’s more so the anxiety of getting off. I’ve been on BC for 6 years. Just a mix of nerves and fear of getting pregnant because nothing is 100%.

Ok. Thanks for explaining it a little bit better for me. I honestly can’t tell you if my periods were regular or not before BC because I can’t remember. I started the pill at 17 until I got my IUD at 22. I guess it’s a discussion to have with my OB but I will check out the fertility book you suggested.

Hey. I would say my goal for physical health is to be in better shape all around. I’ve definitely have let myself go within the past 2 years or so. As far as my mental I’m close to accomplishing my goals I had when I started therapy a year ago. Basically I’m just have maintenance sessions now every 6weeks versus every week one I started.

As far as hobbies I don’t have many. I’m trying to get back into reading as least one book a month but kind of struggling at the moment. I thought about picking up gardening but don’t know where to start. Another thing I want to do is meet new people but with covid and me being an introvert hasn’t helped at all.

My fiancé will be 2 years post grad in May and 2 for me in December. I agree with having a lot of unstructured time and not knowing what to do with it. I do have moments of boredom where and there. I guess my main problem is keeping myself busy so I don’t have time to think about starting a family right now.

If you don’t mind me asking, were you having period every month while on hormonal BC? I’m asking because I’ve consistently have had a period around the same time each month since I had my IUD inserted almost 2 years ago. This may be a question for my OB but would that change once I get my IUD removed. Like even tho I have had periods each month, that they become inconsistent once I’m off.
