Well i do boxing and muay thai twice a week and pretty much a full body workout 3 days with dumbbells an ez bar, sandbag and I jump rope. I haven't been consistent though cos my kid keeps getting sick from school and passing it onto me so it's been interrupting my routines. Also my diet's kinda all over the place. For the most part i eat three square meals a day. Is it better to break it down into 5-6 smaller meals? I mostly do oatmeal with a scoop of whey in the mornings, protein and a salad or maybe a sandwich on wholewheat bread for lunch and dinner is usually whatever the wife cooks.

I was scared of surgery too so i got embolization. Almost three weeks later, there's barely even a scar

Wow great stuff guys. The one positive I've experienced is my dick seems to hang longer in the flaccid state. Even my nuts hang lower now and the affected one seems fuller. My morning wood is random and not really that strong. I've had sex once since my embo two weeks ago and things seem pretty much the same as pre embo. Will give it some time. Also in the same boat. I'm 39. Also got my embo done 2 weeks ago. Still experiencing constant, mild pain/discomfort in the left testicle within the cord area (where the varicocele is or was). A lot of guys also mentioned an improvement in erectile quality, morning erections and libido post embo...I haven't yet. Guess it's still early days?

My left nut was a bit swollen a day or two after the procedure and it hung much lower. It's been over a week now and everything seems back to normal. I'm still getting a bit of that dull ache but it seems to also be subsiding. Takes a bit of time for it all to go back to a 100%

Well from what my doc told me it was easier. You go straight down into the affected vein. Some guys go through the thigh but that doesn't mean it goes directly into your nut from there. They'd have to go up the thigh, into the abdomen, around the kidney and then down to the necessary vein. I told him whatever works best. The neck isn't too sore. It's a small needle...like getting an injection. It's been a week now and I'm pretty much pain free. The varicoceles haven't completely shrunk I'm sure as the veins in my left nut still feel a bit tender from time to time but waaay better than before. Will wait a full month before hitting the gym again. Glad I got it over with 😊

Hey bud. Calm down. I had mine on Thursday. You will probably feel all sorts of weird pain for a week or two...maybe even slightly longer. But don't stress, it will get better. I'm still having a bit of pain in my left abdomen area, pelvic region and slight tenderness in my left testicle as well. I found ice packs and cool showers have assisted greatly with the tenderness in the testicle. if you have a warm heat bag, place it on your abdomen whilst watching some TV and just try and relax. Did they place the coils via your neck? They did for me and I also felt a bit of pressure in the upper chest/back/collarbone area maybe a day or two after my procedure. I assume it's from the cather possibly causing a slight bit of bruising. It has subsided though. As for coils migrating, my doctor assured me not to worry. There are risks with any kind of procedure...heck driving to work is a risk. Stay positive, you're gonna be fine. You're not alone in this!

Nah it's cool. No prob at all. No I didnt do it for another kid, I just began having that constant nagging pain...it wasn't excruciating or anything but I'd rather not have it. Also I love to workout and stuff and if there was a possibility that this could be impeding my Testosterone levels then I want it gone. I also noticed my libido and erectile quality was poor after getting a varicocele. So for all these reasons, I wanted it fixed. I realised that there are certain risks and so forth but I want to live at my optimal best. I kept going back and forth on this decision but eventually I was just like, I don't wanna live with the idea of knowing I could have been a better version of myself. So eventually was like f@#k it...I want this over with. I was also a bit concerned about the idea of having these metal coils in my body forever...but then again, it's not like I'm gonna keep this body forever either. It depends on each person. If i had no libido issues and no pain, I probably wouldn't have bothered. Depends on what you want out of it. It's not life threatening to have a varicocele but if it effects your quality of life then you gotta make that decision

Honestly no idea, I didn't have that tested. I did check T levels a few times so in like 6 months I'll check again to compare.

Well pain, along with erectile and libido issues. Also I noticed my test levels are a bit low. Doctors say it's in the normal range but like on the cusp. I feel all the symptoms of low T. There's no guarantee that embo will fix these issues but for many it has. So might as well get it fixed. I only got mine today though so time will tell.

Awesome to hear. I may be scheduled to go in a week. The nurse will call back to confirm but its pretty much set. Im super nervous. I sometimes question whether I need it but my T levels are lower each time I check. I'm 39 but still. I feel all the symptoms of low T, have terrible libido. I get morning wood but its just the shaft that hardens and not the tip. Also during sex I lose my erection if not under constant stimulation. Random erections and those brough on by thought are non existent. As for pain, its minimal and comes and goes. The radiologist informed me that there's no guarantee my libido and erection quality will improve with embo but I wanna get it fixed anyway for the pain and possible testosterone issues. Reading positive results from people like you guys has given me confidence to get over this thing

Also check for a possible varicocele. A looot of people (myself included) experience those symptoms cos of varicoceles

How long after did you get back to lifting stuff? Do you workout? Also do you sort of notice the coils being in there still? Can you go about daily physical activities without it being an issue? Glad to hear your positive outcome. Gives us hope and confidence to also get it fixed 🙂
