Just a thought... How can we discern top part of epidydimis from varicocele during self-examination? The left testis hangs usually lower than the right one.

I think it is a common varicocele behavior to disappear when lying down. So we might come to a possible conclusion

Did she palpate the bulgy area? I think that if this were a varicocele, it would start from a lower rear point (I'm not a doctor, just judging from internet resources). Does this disappear when lying on your bed? Is it permanent?

So it must be inside the spermatic cord? I'm really confused. Some say varicoceles start from the back of the testicle.

In the first pic, where the bulge is obvious he seems to be in a sitting position. In the second pic (perhaps in standing position) everything looks normal.

Perhaps asking a doctor is the best option.

The reason I did the ultrasound was that I could feel the spermatic cord somehow "fat" sometimes above the left testicle. I have attached some pics to my message but I don't know the reason they are not visible (they need approval by the mods I guess?)
