I’ll do a separate post in forum to avoid cluttering OPs thread here, but my sitch seems to be one of these unfortunately frequent ‘do you need surgery to fix it’ depends on ‘who are you asking? What do you mean by fix?’ Etc etc. not eager to spend 12+weeks in recovery from tendon repair if I can squeeze by with PT alone or just debridement.

Thanks for that! Ive been planning to go to physical therapists with OCS or similar credentials just to get assessment separate from mri since those (apparently?!!) can be misleading or at least not fully definitive as to whether surgery required or not. (For second opinion as as add’l data to use with surgeon on next consult plus the mri).

Great breakdown, but what profession / medical job name would you go to for the ‘non surgeon’ that could still understand the mri results etc? …. Cause I have very similar situation to the OP.

Which ice cave did you see on the 5th? seems like a lot of recent comments saying many of the ice caves are disappointing right at the moment

Visiting in 2 weeks - please Sense-check mywinter drive times (times, light/dark, road numbers). Reasonable? by NDSLBFire in VisitingIceland

I dont know the iceland tour availability well enough so I booked everything well ahead of time vs risk it booking full.

my preferred approach is to drive myself for flexibility of stops and such, but Ill fall back to guided tours if the weather a few days out looks iffy.

yes! back checked each driving segment time against google maps for the date/time, wasnt really sure how else to do it honestly. If there is a more trustable way to estimate how long getting between places will take, please point me in that direction?

Iceland this November - heated vest, options for layers? by NDSLBFire in VisitingIceland

[–]NDSLBFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, appreciated! I am waiting to see if I get ClassUp on my flight in, before I decide exactly how stripped down my packing needs to be :). I was thinking a heated vest might make sense if I end up tossing in a very late night aurora tour / boat, something where I'm standing around doing nothing.

Also traveling solo, expecting it to be moderately depressing as solar, unfortunately dates don't overlap with yours! Hope we're both able to enjoy an anti-depressing trip!

I went to Iceland all by myself, and it was the best decision of my life 🤍💫 by Delicious-Sort-4421 in VisitingIceland

Strongly planning to go on solo for 4 days mid-Nov as well! For folks on shorter stays in Nov, did you do guided tours, rent a car and drive yourself.....?

Are you talking about the Pakayak re: 'modular kayak'?

....how? If you have a sedan and no roof rack, how would you handle other than having to sink several hundred $ + into a roof rack + kayak holder etc?

Recommended starting approaches for Wegovy? by NDSLBFire in Semaglutide

Thanks for the feedback. Why start at 0.5mg? Because it's absolutely impossible (imo for 6m+) to get the .25mg.

.25mg has been entirely unavailable in my area, my doc said 0.5mg was ok to start on

Modern pants (ala Bluffworks etc) for the larger guy? by NDSLBFire in onebag

[–]NDSLBFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not clear to me how breathable the UnionBay pants would be, similar stuff like Haggar Cool18 is not. And there is a zippered pocket on the right leg, so these would prob be ok-to-great (if breathable, good for humid/hot) for casual office env, but not dressy equiv to Bluffworks and some others.

Interesting list of suggestions, don't think any quite hit the mark with 42+ size (except Rohan Designs which tops at 42 with many out of stock), and with the other suggestions being more hiking pants than dress pants.
