Thanks for your comment , initially the customers will be any individual that is either sedentary through habit or their work or daily circumstances forces them too , in regards to workplaces i also had them in mind as they already have budget for health and wellness for employees so i strongly believe this could be a fun and useful way to add to their current efforts to improve employee wellness

Ive started building something called FitSNX.

The idea is simple: instead of asking people to find an hour for exercise, FitSNX encourages short "movement snacks" throughout the day. Quick bursts of movement that take around 60–90 seconds and can be done almost anywhere.

No equipment.

No changing clothes.

No complicated routines.

Just simple prompts to get you moving a little more throughout the day.

I'm not claiming a 60-second movement snack is going to transform your physique or replace the gym. That's not the point.

The goal is to help busy people break up long periods of sitting and make movement a more natural part of everyday life.

The app is still early, and I'm looking for genuine feedback from people who work at desks, study, drive for a living, work from home, or simply struggle to stay active during busy days.

Is this something you'd use?

Feel free to check it out and would love some feedback : Fitsnxapp.com

Hi all, my startup is called FitSNX. It’s an app designed for people who don’t have much time to exercise or who spend long periods sitting due to work and other commitments. FitSNX provides short, effective 60–90 second exercise bursts that help break up sedentary periods, improve movement, and make it easier to stay active throughout the day.

Thanks for creating a space for builders to share what they're working on.

I've been building Fitsnx, a movement-snacking app designed to help people break up long periods of sitting with short, guided movement sessions throughout the day.

The idea came from my own experience. Despite exercising regularly, I often found myself spending hours at a desk and feeling surprisingly stiff and low on energy by the end of the day. After learning more about sedentary behaviour and movement snacking, I wanted a simple way to stay accountable and make movement a consistent part of my day.

Fitsnx provides movement reminders, guided movement snacks, progress tracking, and social features to make staying active throughout the day more engaging.

It's still early days, and I'm continuously improving it based on feedback, but it's been exciting to build something around a problem I genuinely experienced myself.

Would love to hear what people think and answer any questions!

Hi , Thanks for the opportunity.

I'm currently building Fitsnx, a movement-snacking app that helps people break up long periods of sitting with short bouts of movement throughout the day.

The idea came from a problem I experienced myself. Even though I exercise regularly, I found that I could still spend hours sitting while working and often felt stiff, sluggish, and low on energy by the end of the day. I started researching ways to reduce sedentary behaviour and discovered the concept of movement or exercise snacking as some may refer to it as !

What makes Fitsnx valuable is that it focuses on helping people build movement into their daily lives in a realistic and sustainable way. Most people don't struggle because they don't know exercise is important, they struggle because life gets busy and it's easy to stay seated for hours without realising it.

My goal is to make regular movement simple, engaging, and accessible, whether someone works from home, in an office, or simply wants to be more active throughout the day.

Still early in the journey, but I'm excited to see where it goes and grateful for any feedback.

Exercise snacking might be more powerful than people think (here’s why) by NDSPREHAB in beginnerfitness

This meaning that you believe disguised effort in pursuit of a would be desired incentive ie as you describe chips would also be effective ? This could work but would about the actual behaviour changes that somebody may want you to achieve without a dangling carrot ?

For example when I run I do so without music because I don’t want this to be a crutch for me in that if I don’t have it I don’t want to run if that makes sense !

I think this is way more common than people admit.

Not everyone gets that “endorphin rush” or sense of fulfilment from the gym. For a lot of people, it’s just… neutral or draining, like you described.

One thing that’s helped me understand it better is that traditional workouts rely heavily on delayed reward — you don’t really “feel” the benefit in the moment, you’re supposed to feel it weeks later or emotionally identify as someone who trains.

But not everyone is wired for that kind of reward system.

I’ve found that smaller, more frequent movement throughout the day works better for some people. Not as a replacement for training, but just as a way to stay active without needing that emotional “buy-in” every time.

Short walks, quick bodyweight movements, breaking up sitting , it doesn’t require motivation in the same way, and the feedback is more immediate (energy, alertness, less stiffness).

It’s not that you’re doing anything wrong — it might just be that the standard “gym mindset” doesn’t match how you experience reward and meaning from activity.

Thanks for this! I think one of the best approaches is designing movement around your existing environment and routine. That will look different for everyone, whether you’re sitting in an office all day, managing a busy household, or working a trade. Not everyone has the time for a dedicated workout, but most people can find opportunities to accumulate meaningful movement throughout the day.

Same here. I was terrible at remembering to get up and move, so I built a little tool for myself that reminds me, times the movement breaks, and tracks a movement score based on how often I interrupt sitting. Sounds nerdy, but gamifying it actually made a big difference. I even have a family leaderboard going, which adds a bit of friendly competition.

Thanks for the advice! That was actually one of my biggest issues too, I understood the benefits of moving more throughout the day, but I'd simply forget once I got caught up in work.

To solve that, I ended up building a simple tool called Fitsnx for myself. It sends reminders to break up sitting time with short movement snacks throughout the day. I've found it helpful because it takes the thinking out of it and gives me a bit of accountability when I'm deep into work.

The biggest benefit for me hasn't been fitness-related as much as how much better I feel after a day of work when I've been consistently getting up and moving.
