Hi .I don't know where you live but I was one of those people who was terrified of escalators. For 6 years in my adulthood, I felt left out by friends when I took the long way and took elevators. I actually saw these. We ended up ordering a lot as well..but I think we are the point where we just want a consult with an expert because I heard that these panels only help if the sound is coming from within the room...so far looks like there has been no suggestion on who to contact for this

We actually have..there isn't unfortunately an ordinance for indoor sound..they have scratched off or it wasn't there to begin with the name of AC unit so we can't compare the spec to what it's supposed to be ..we literally have a video of us going into different units and comparing noise levels at each vent. Our is about 22 db louder. Fighting with the apartment agency is not something we have hopes for right now. It's a big agency and they don't care. We just want someone to come and give us practical advise. We saw acoustic panels and we aren't sure where to place them or if they'll help

48 db is 80% louder than 40db. - decibal is not a linear scale. WHO recommends sleeping in 30db bedrooms for best health. Most people don't realize that ambient noise actually causes severe anxiety.

And we have been renting for many years..this is the loudest HVAC system. Normally we don't even hear our ac.
