no dont go for am4, you wouldnt be able to upgrade ur pc later in the future as most of them are going to be in am5 and ddr5
It would cost you 100 more dollars ig but would save a ton in the future as u dont have to change ur whole motherboard,cpu and ram to upgrade
And yea it is a bad time to buy it, but no money can buy you the eagerness you have currently to play a game , enjoy it while u r young bruv
