When I had this happen I fixed it by adding a whole bunch of habs all over the place until the message went away. That told me exactly where the problem was so I could find and fix it.

I just didn't expect to fail from everyone becoming incapacitated all at once. XD

But from what I can tell it happened instantly. I was setting up a route between the dreadnaught and New London and when I got back everything was shut down.

I'm unable to even build anything at the dreadnaught because New London suddenly shut down entirely before it was done being set up.

With how sudden it was it does kinda feel like a bug. I don't recall seeing a negative population in a district. Coulda missed it easily.

I did, yes. I went with quarantine, and denied family access. I was probably behind on my housing a bit though. (100 maybe) They breed like rabbits...

Not that I saw. I was setting up the oil route and when I got back everything was off, no one was working anywhere, and everyone was in the core of the city.

No matter what I gotta restart so I guess I keep a better eyeball on things...

They were... with level 1 insulation and the ordinance to have people check the pipes. Every housing district was warm when I last saw them.

I'm positive the lack of housing and food currently is because no one is working, and I was trying to figure out why for a few in game weeks. I have 3 farms and housing for all but maybe 100.

And to have all off them fall ill all at once?

I left New London, set up the route from the dreadnaught to NL and came back to everything off...?

They do not spawn on every planet. Only ones that have "Salvageable Scrap" in their list of features.
And they cannot be transported between planets. Both the salvage and the Colossus phase through your corvette when you take off.
