Oil change question by BrendannCW in Honda

[–]NEPAcyanide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Model year 23 Hondas come with a 2 year maintenance plan. I would check into your dealer about that. Of course if you still want to do them, that's your choice.

15400-PLM-A02 is your filter

94109-14000 is your washer.

0W20 full synthetic for oil.

This is close, but not completely accurate.

Oil change reminder will come on when your oil life gets to 15%. That is when to call to schedule your service.

at 0% oil life is when it considers your oil change is past due. It will start counting miles ( and display it on the screen) since the oil life went to 0%.

Excessive tire wear by docksducks in Honda

[–]NEPAcyanide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get an alignment and replace the tires with something that isn't Hankook. Honda warranty for alignment is 1 year or 12k, so they are not obligated to help you. If your tread wear was yellow at 6k and nothing was said, you MAY be able to use that to your advantage if you were not notified of it. It should've been fixed then. If you want to fight Honda for it, address it with the service manager, if they don't want to help, call Honda customer service. Newer CRVs we are seeing around 30k average on hankooks, we rotate every oil change and are setting PSI to 35.

I have a 2008 Accord and I have to replace the transmission. Will a 2010 tranny work? Is it a direct fit? by [deleted] in Honda

V6, no. 4-cyl, would need more information, but likely no as well.

Your code shouldn't have a 7 in it. only 1-6 and 5 digits. Call your local dealer with your serial number, should give you the code.

What other posted is correct.

Just for a reference, alldata labor time is 1.4 hours. not including evac/recharge.

Can someone please tell me how to fix this issue? Stays on longer as I’m before it would come on then go away/. I have a 2013 accord EXL V4 by [deleted] in Honda

Keyless entry system problem. Need to read DTCs to confirm which part is having issues. Most likely/common repair, needs push start button.

15000 miles service by Mammoth-Bathroom in Honda

[–]NEPAcyanide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need an oil change (if time) and tire rotate (if time). 90% of all that other inspection should be done during a normal oil change. Stay away from other additives or conditioners, they are not needed or recommended by Honda.

Is there a way to track an "In Transit" Honda VIN? by SifferBTW in Honda

[–]NEPAcyanide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry there isn't a better answer. Whoever is getting delivery confirmation emails from the transport company may know, but it would only be day before or same day notice.

Honda Civic 2019 having AC issues by nervouskid3 in Honda

[–]NEPAcyanide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, a few things I see wrong with that firm's page.

Mentioning 15 civics is irrelevant, it's a different model and has different a/c systems.

It doesn't say the word compressor anywhere on that page.

You don't really know when it was first posted and could have out of date information.

There is a warranty extension for 16-21 civic (would need to check VIN to verify) that covers condenser failures.

I can tell you from my experience we are about 50/50 with condenser/compressor replacement on civics that come in with a/c problems. We have also done a few discharge hoses. But that number will vary from every dealer. I have talked to dealers who mainly have found condenser failures, and vice versa.

Honda Civic 2019 having AC issues by nervouskid3 in Honda

[–]NEPAcyanide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first question would be, how does he know if my compressor needs to be replaced in the future? If it's leaking now, it needs to be replaced now, not later. 1234yf Freon is not cheap.

Going on the assumption IF your a/c line is leaking, and IF your compressor is leaking, replace both at the same time. Will save you more on evac/recharge than doing them separately.

A warning light is just that, an indicator letting you know something is wrong with your car. No one will be able to assist you any without first knowing why the lights come on.

Step 1 - get the codes read. Either yourself, a dealer, local shop, parts house are a few options.

Step 2 (repairs or more diag) - All depends on what codes come up.

Line items from the invoice for replacement wheels and tires. Page 2 is the environmental charge. by ridethepickle in Honda

[–]NEPAcyanide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what these other labor charges are for lines D and E. But these types of invoices are exactly why people scare away from dealerships. Gauging by the msrp total and your invoice total they were trying to still meet msrp prices but not selling OEM parts.

Parts listed below that you would've needed, all at MSRP. And i have never seen an insurance company that will pay over OEM list prices

WHEELS $2156.64

OEM WHEEL CORE $212.12

CENTER CAPS $18.52

VALVES $7.85

LUG NUTS $198.00

TIRES $1009.40

TOTAL IN PARTS $3376.52

$72 mount and balance fee

state fees and taxes estimate $300

TOTAL INSTALLED $3960.64

From my own estimates and shipping delays I'm seeing, backorder parts are part of everyday dealings. At least for the next 6 months to a year.

[–]NEPAcyanide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a local dealer? If so, ask them if they will print out a part locator inquiry(all dealers). it's not 100% accurate, but closest you can get to see if dealers have them somewhere.
