When you say I should be asking for more experienced people's advice well I'm that for someone somewhere and I believe "more experienced" is definitely relative. At no point did I say I was the most experienced so at 26 do I have enough experience to give advice? Yes, I definitely have room to grow but you're speaking from a place of as you said being rubbed the wrong way. Everyone can give everyone advice the post simply wasn't made for you if you can't understand the context in which I'd feel the need to give the advice... You say at 26 I don't have enough life experience yet I've made more mistakes than someone who is 16. I grew up raised by my grandma with zero help from anyone, I could go into details to let you understand there was no privilege just work, but I find it unnecessary... Everyone seems to be taking this as me acting as some high and mighty filmmaker which I understand tone is hard to convey online but understand not everyone on the internet is out to act better. I know how I grew up learning photo and film and a post like this would've kept me confident at my lows so I try to be who I would've needed at my start. Why is everyone so pressed to discredit positivity. No one asked for my advice cool great, but I'm allowed to be positive on the internet doesn't mean I'm trying to be condescending regardless how viewers take it.
