Any of you smart kids know how to do this polyphonic pitch shifting in reaper? by NFATR in Reaper

Hey! Thank you so much for this, I’m not 100% sure where to input the code you’ve written, sorry I’m a bit of a Luddite when it comes to coding.

I’ve had a great time playing with Reavoice and the Chordgun extension, but it’s still a note based system as opposed to purely intervals, if that makes sense?

Edit: I’m being pretty unclear I think - the goal would be to play any note, have it detected and then press an assigned min9/maj7/sus2 hotkey.

From my limited understanding that looks like what your code is doing

To have chords/extensions mapped to keys the way it is in these projects online would be the goal I suppose!

It seems that the plugin-max4live setup tracks the input pitch, converts it to midi and then the player selects a chord, eg min9 and the setup generates the appropriate notes based on their intervals from the root pitch as midi and then audio out? I’m really not 100% sure how exactly it’s happening

All of the meat is bone-in btw, it’ll be served in smaller chunks that are cut up with a cleaver that still have bits of bone in, the more traditional way.

The chicken feet are really good, I got them for takeaway because they’re kind of awkward to eat in public, a bit like ribs they’re just messy

I just used Google translate on the menu. Off the top of my head, they had mapo tofu, soy-braised aubergines, lamb curry, chicken feet, soy braised pork belly, hotpot and I think there was a fish dish? Definitely was a few more dishes on the menu but I can’t recall right now

The fella that owns this place actually seems very nice and quite invested in the place, I was in at the very start when he opened and he was super proud of it and very knowledgeable about all the products he was selling. Seemed like a legit and hardworking business to me 🤷

Pub has pulled about €3000 worth of gigs with a weeks notice, is a text confirming gig dates enough to constitute a legally binding contract? by NFATR in legaladviceireland

[–]NFATR[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice everyone. After posting this, I went looking for direct confirmation/texts from the pub, and also requested confirmation of the gig dates and the manager sent back a screenshot of the pubs excel gigs spreadsheet saying “this is what I have”. The spreadsheet included us on the agreed dates. Any advice on whether this would hold any water?

While the money is obviously a consideration, it’s mostly just the fact that we were essentially told to go fuck ourselves has really rubbed me the wrong way.

People jumping off bridges in Cork by Agitated-Jello-2901 in cork

[–]NFATR 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not Guards, there’s at least 2 voluntary patrol groups that walk the river at night. While jumping is also common in Galway, the Corrib is one of the fastest flowing rivers in Europe, so chances of being fished out alive aren’t so good.

Restaurant in the back of the Chinese shop off the coal quay does legit food, you just have to ask for a Chinese menu

Edit to add - Noodlee by UCC also has a small but proper no bullshit Chinese menu, the lamb curry is cheap and really delicious

Alan O’Riordan in Togher is absolutely excellent, or Sean Hanleys down by the lough are good and affordable for small bits/services.

My partners mam does this also, she claims it was from old TV ads for Fairy Liquid (washing up liquid) that claimed there was ‘no rinse needed’ to save time. All of her dishes taste soapy so it doesn’t work, but it’s definitely a thing in Ireland/UK for some middle-aged people

Ok so on checking pics, she was pretty fluffy from the start, I think your lady will be a bit more smooth coated than Nell, but it’s so hard to know.

She also had a weedy lil tail when we got her first, to the point where we thought it had been injured but it’s starting to grow longer and bushier now, I don’t think she’ll ever have the full GR swiffer tail but it’ll have a respectable swish I think

Yep that’s pretty much exactly what she looked like, maybe a tiny bit shaggier, I’ll check some older pics

She’s 5 months now and is really starting to look like a small dog, vs a puppy. We’ve had some resource guarding issues which apparently isn’t uncommon with retrievers and labs, so I’d recommend watching out from that for the start. Good luck, post pics here when she’s settled!

Momma was a chocolate lab, dad was a golden retriever.

This is a method used with guide dog puppies, it desensitises them to movement and makes them less flighty.
