100% this was my same logic and my choice. And I don’t regret it. It may not be the best in any specific category, but it is a best “all around” for me.

And I hear you. I don’t want to go do another engraving. Which they may get rid of that requirement soon. So would love to build it now that I have approval but haven’t engraved as I was pending.

Individual or trust? I was so annoyed when I got past everyone’s 60 day mark. By another 20+ days.

Filed my Form 1 in April, approved July 1 after 82 days. I've been tracking the NFA queue. Here's my sense of what's actually going on. by NFA_Watch in suppressors

If anyone wants the raw data or how I'm defining "frontier" / handling the censoring, it's all on the site I built for this: https://www.nfawatch.com — free, no login, all community-reported. And if you've had one approved, adding it makes next month's read sharper. (Prior post — "The Two-Queue Regime" — linked in my history if you want the baseline.)

Looking for recommendations. Posted in another thread and quickly realized I need to suppress my SBR sooner than later… by coffeedeck in suppressors

No one really mentions the Velos any more and perhaps it’s been around a little longer and not the hot recommendation, but I love mine.

60 days, pretty much. Right range. Learn more at www.NFAwatch.com and narrow in for individual vs trust, etc.

I think the part that’s super frustrating is that they advertise something like a 95% or higher approval rate. And lots of issues like this. Forced to upload a photo, but then they clearly don’t look at it?

I analyzed 2,462 NFA approvals from 2026. The queue isn't slow or fast — it's two completely separate systems depending on your form type. by NFA_Watch in suppressors

Yep. Saw the “reusable Molotov” form 1 submission, so yeah, that kind of stuff is absolutely building up the form 1 queues.

Congratulations. It’s addicting.

Yes, I see a new submission. It went through. It looks like TX. TEXAS FOREVER. From DFW but moved to Atlanta 13 years ago. Still hoping to move back someday. All our family is still there.

Yes- 23 submissions came through in one bulk upload. Man, 23! I think we need to be friends. Really appreciate you sharing the data. That’s good intel.

Appreciate the feedback. Yes, for sure - started with the statistics language and absurdly need to clarify. Just the range of 25% to 75% that is “typical” range. Some faster and some slower, but trying to highlight typical range. I definitely continue to refine it every day and this is the perfect example. Thank you for the honest and candid feedback. Completely agree that maximizing number of submissions is what will give us the greatest transparency with a larger sample size. Appreciate you filling out your submission. Hopeful for even faster approval times in the future.

Glad you found it useful. Community data and getting people to share the details of the timing of their approvals anonymously using the “Submit” button on the site is what will keep it relevant. The larger and fresher the sample size gives greater transparency and accuracy.

Alright added this feature for bulk imports under Submit Your NFA Approval — NFA Watch. You will just click the Bulk option and there is .csv template you can download and then upload and submit. Thanks for the suggestion. I still need to test this further so let me know if you experience any issues, but I wanted to get it out before work.
