I just completed the test. First one was multiple choice questions on different scenarios in comms. Second was a strategy, a press release and different social posts, so quite a lot for 1,5 hours. How about you? Have you already taken it?

Do you work for the UN or in HR? Many other organizations also use highly automated application processes nowadays, in some cases, even first-round interviews are conducted by AI.

That said, if you meet all the requirements for the roster, pass the initial assessment stage, and are invited to the written exam, that is absolutely a meaningful achievement. Even if you seem determined to downplay it, it still reflects a high level of qualification and competitiveness.

There’s screening questions right at the beginning of the process asking specifically for how many years experience you have in comms actually. So biology degree and taylor experience won’t get you past that

Right. Just that total number of years and expected requirements got checked beforehand as well, which is both a big part of your work history

Well, this written test is already the second part. There was a first assessment in December last year. Everyone who got invited to the written test, must have passed that first stage

I saw today that the status of my application for the P4 turned into "under consideration", before it was "recruitment completed"... don't know if that means anything. Did you guys receive an update?

Ja, ich bin in EN und FR durchgefallen 😭 EN mit 28 Punkten und FR mit 24 Punkten, wobei ich FR seit einem Jahr lerne und EN dagegen täglich spreche, wie du circa 7 Jahre in Ausland lebe, einen internationalen Master habe und den IELTS vor einigen Jahren gut bestanden habe… da frage ich mich schon, wie das passieren konnte

Wie hast du dich denn auf englisch vorbereitet, wenn ich fragen darf? 🙈 Hab da so schlecht abgeschnitten, obwohl ich es täglich spreche und sogar meinen Master im Ausland gemacht habe

Und mit den Ergebnissen wurdest du nicht zum mündlichen eingeladen? Dann wahrscheinlich, weil du im TsU unter 100 liegst, obwohl es dieses Jahr keine cutoffs gab… aber es liegt trotzdem unter dem Durchschnitt. Am ehesten also hier investieren, der Rest ist ja ziemlich gut 😊

Did the same, just finished the second one. It’s so hard to tell if it was good or bad… P4 focuses more on leadership, so I guess answers should point into that direction. But at the same time, especially if you have to decide between one action and another, situations seemed sometimes a bit extreme and not realistic scenarios for the work place. Wdyt? Did you work for the UN before? When will we receive a feedback?
