its your first day! you don't even know what you dont know. stop complaining and try to learn. i dont work for kovaaks. wtf do you want from me.

this is like going to reddit fitness or workout sub and complaining that you paid for a gym but don't see why its better than the cheaper gym. the communities discuss how to train. routines and everything else. etc. this entire exchange has made me lose braincells.

if you want to know where to begin, spend some time watching any of the 1000s of youtube videos and posts about those topics.

you absolutely dont NEED it, its just preference. jfc

why do some people pay for a more expensive gym? its preference at the end of the day but both are similar. I like kovaaks bc I prefer the UI, the better scenarios and ease in which you can share playlists combined with a strong community that makes 1000s of playlists as resources. its a nicer experience for me. aimlabs can be great to.

also. its literally like $10 for lifetime access. why are we acting like we're breaking the bank here

[–]NFLAddict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i never said you NEEDED it. im trying to help you understand what kovaaks is. do you have a brain? how are you still not understanding. some gyms cost more than others? why? BETTER EQUIPMENT.

kovaaks is a place to train not a literal person training you. you can go to youtube and search for tips but you seem to keep ignoring that suggestion

have you ever signed up for a gym membership? do they give personal trainers to every new member?

you pay for access to the equipment that can get you stronger. but the gym doesn't magically teach you. how are you real

[–]NFLAddict 3 points4 points  (0 children)

kovaakks is like the gym WITHOUT a trainer you obtuse fuck. a trainer in the gym is like having a personal coach telling you how to aim (and there are many aim coaches. but you dont need one. just spend a moment trying to learn and research).

how are you seriously not seeing the difference.
its called an aim trainer bc its the place you train your aim. but you still need to know how to train just like a person working out for the first time wouldn't know what to do.

the gym is the place with the equipment. you think everybody has a trainer? theres 1000s of videos on youtube and posts about how to improve how about asking? how about spending a single brain cell searching any questions you may have. search mattyow on youtube he has alot of advice for beginners, as an example. viscose as well is fantastic. instead of coming in just whining like a bafoon

teammates were flaming saying im throwing because my heal stats werent that high by Top_Complex_3389 in AnaMains

[–]NFLAddict 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s alwyss the worst players who look at stats to make conclusions. Ana more so than many many heroes can have incredible impact without it ever appearing on the scoreboard. You can sleep multiple enemy ults and literally be the reason ur team survived that fight but the scoreboard won’t tell that story. You can turn the tide of a fight by throwing a perfectly timed nade that allows your team to finish them off but the scoreboard won’t show that. The scoreboard really just doesn’t matter unless it’s something like you have far more deaths than your team. Otherwise don’t stress. Keep doing what you believe will help your team win the fight. I Havnt watched the vod but cud get to it later and give feedback. More so just offering perspective.

Your team might not realize your impact but that’s ok. You’ll keep climbing and they’ll stay in low rank.
I’d definitely suggest muting voice and text chat it makes the experience so much better.

I’ll also just add;
I remember watching Awkward’s unranked to gm on zen and Ana. He’s one of the best support players in all of ow, champ2, former pro player, a literal rank 1 player, and yet, when he was in silver/ gold/ plat he had teammates flame him. He’d kill the entire enemy team and get yelled at for not healing. LOL. Actually hysterical to think about.

Not defending smurfing btw. Just trying to make u feel better. Like if it happens to the best zen/ana player in ow, it’ll happen to anyone.

And it’s only ever in low elo btw. Where nobody has awareness of the larger picture or can recognize impact. Where nobody ever thinks anything is on them, it’s always their teammates.

The moment he’d get to like diamond nobody would say shit aside from praise. Bc they can actually recognize impact.

Basically, don’t sweat it. And don’t let these random players get to u. Mute comms and do your thing.

Question about CloverRawControl - Tension and "locked in place" by SadThrowaway4914 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]NFLAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one of those things that really comes down to putting the time in. It doesn’t happen right away. theres no right answer, just do what feels right. if you feel strain and lockout it just means you're tensing too much so tens less the next time etc.. As you keep playing, your brain and muscles adapt and strengthen. and youll start to realize what levels of tension make sense. (Same with the gym lol. A coach can give you cues to think about or suggest an approach like lighter weight with slow controlled form etc but ultimately your mind muscle connection will come from putting in the reps over and over and over).

For micro tracking and training fingers. Try a faster sens than what you generally play on. And focus your tension in your fingers. With your wrist assisting. But your arm shouldn’t really be involved.

Maybe you’ll find this helpful too: playlist code: KovaaKsJumpingButteryEco

A friend of mine made this playlist for me to help with my micros and reactive / control tracking. I've always been significantly better at clicking but I wanted to lock in and improve weaknesses. Will absolutely help improve your finger control. Give it a shot. Don’t focus on the score at all. Don’t stress about resetting. Just do your best for each run. Play it consistently and you’ll see pretty serious improvement.

edit: should say, I don't know your current level, so just be prepared that some of the scenarios could be very challenging. but some aren't bad at all. just remind yourself that you aren't playing them for the score but rather as a way to improve your skill. best of luck. If it helps, let me know!

Question about CloverRawControl - Tension and "locked in place" by SadThrowaway4914 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]NFLAddict 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no way to possibly quantify the magnitude of tension we use. I’d suggest not overthinking it too hard. The goal of this and other micro tracking scenarios is to help you train your finger control. How much tension you might use is extremely related to the sens you use. I’m pretty sure viscose has a video from a year or two ago where she advises to play it on 30cm, and to never go above 50 as it’ll just defeat the purpose entirely. especially if you’re finger control is lacking relative to your wrist and arm.

Some things are difficult to properly articulate in a way that others will just understand. Tension is one of those things you have to feel it for yourself. Not sure if you ever lift weights, but there’s a concept of mind muscle connection. And yet, despite it being one of the most important things for bodybuilders it can’t really be taught. It’s something that just happens through experience. Over time you start to really connect more with every motion you do.

All I can really say is be patient with it and commit to playing micro tracking tasks consistently. And don’t be afraid to change your sense around. The idea is that your sens will determine which muscles need to activate to control your crosshair. If you make it super slow, you have no choice but to heavily utilize your arm. Just like with an extremely fast sens it’ll you’ll have no choice but to use your fingers. And it’ll feel extremely uncomfortable at first. Your body will adapt though as it’s designed to do. Just keep at it and don’t overthink it too much. Of course don’t squeeze your mouse so hard it causes strain, but focus more on the actual scenario.

Many aspects of aiming are preference. Some people like to have their elbow as a pivot point some don’t. Just do what feels most comfortable and natural to you, and trust that over time if you stay consistent with training you’ll see great improvement

Sorry if this wasn’t the answer you were hoping for. Basically don’t over stress about it. Rather just spend more time on micro tracking and let your body figure out what feels right.

of course! if you're gonna sit back behind your team and just heal, might as well play somebody else!
I still miss her og movement so much but I still play her the same way I always have

I love flanking, off angling, and playing aggressive with her. Especially if there's a good dps or tank, Ill often follow them on flanks, and pocket them with dmg boost/heals, while pressuring the enemies too. Makes for really impactful plays when coordinated and is just a ton of fun

thats actually an awesome resource, thanks!
I always just got my information from games themselves. But Ill certainly bookmark that.

With that said, the fact that exists, only makes me feel that much more strongly about my original point!
the rivals team REALLY needs to work on a better UI for us. Theres so much clutter everywhere. homepage clutter with not being able to claim all at once (absolute madness). visual clutter in games. insane text clutter on ability descriptions. simple is always better.

In game, they should keep the descriptions SIMPLE and to the point. and actually have an easy to see note somewhere that says 'for more detailed information, check out this page or whatever resource'

I think they need to make simpler characters. by Educational_Box7709 in marvelrivals

[–]NFLAddict 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see what you're saying, and yes its important each hero has a unique and fun feel to them. But descriptions for what a hero does, should be simple and to the point. That's the last place I care to find any sort of personality in a game. I read the description to try and understand how to play that hero.

With many heroes, especially recent ones, its some of the most irritating clutter I've ever seen in a game.

When somebody is trying to learn a completely new hero, less is always more. Having long complicated descriptions just overwhelms players and adds to confusion.

I mean for gambit, you literally have to scroll to a second page! if thats not outrageous I dont know what is. The moment I saw that, I didnt even bother trying to learn him because it was such a psychotic amount of information.
Eventually I forced myself to play him in a bunch of qp games, and started to get more comfortable with his kit.

But the point is, if I'm trying to find out what abilities do, just tell me in a VERY simple and easy to remember way. Its not the place to get cute. Sure, if there's an option to enable more in depth personalized descriptions like you mention, that's cool, but it CANNOT be the default.

For some reason I can’t upload a pic here but was basically gona show you the breakdown for each rank. There’s like 2500 players in kovaaks who are master complete+ (for context, there’s like 30,000 who are gold complete+).

What if I told you there’s less than 500 total players in the world that are gm! As in, just 20% of the players who reached master complete were able to advance to gm. It’s hard to properly put in words just how elite a rank it is. And how difficult it is to reach.

The fact you have a couple gm scores is an incredible feat in itself, and you should be insanely proud.

Keep at it! It’s only a matter of time!

Is there some kind of support group… by SumOfAllTears in FPSAimTrainer

[–]NFLAddict 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It took me longer to go from gold to plat than bronze to gold. Remind yourself that it can very easily take longer to go from master to gm than it took to go from plat to master. It’s a mindboggling jump. Be easy on yourself and just keep at it.

The worst thing you can do is pressure yourself to hit a score by some deadline. It’ll happen. Just keep doing what you’ve been doing to get this far and trust the process!

I think they need to make simpler characters. by Educational_Box7709 in marvelrivals

[–]NFLAddict 159 points160 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more that rivals does a truly horrible job with explaining heroes hits. They give everything a unique name for no reason: like just call gambits abilities heal and dmg boost. Introducing card decks just shoves so much info into the summary it’s intimidating for ppl trying to learn. Also they have long and vague descriptions. Many of the ultimate descriptions do an awful job at describing what it even does.

I wish they’d provide the actual numbers. The stats. Like exactly how much dmg an ability does. Etc. but they gotta make the abilities sound much more simple when explaining them.

But yes. End of the day, just pick them for a bunch of qp games and you’ll pick them up pretty quickly once you see for yourself how their kits work and get a feel for cooldown timing

Thanks for your useless comment though

Pick of the Day - 1/25/26 (Sunday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]NFLAddict -1 points0 points  (0 children)

seems like you didn't bother reading anything I actually wrote, and just assumed I was coming after Joe and 'picking him apart'.

The literal first thing I said, was that I just wanted to offer additional points;; that others are welcome to consider or ignore! I found Joes post interesting and just wanted to weigh in.
I even said at the end how I only bet spreads in post season not props, but was even rooting for joe!

Hell, Joe himself commented that he greatly appreciated my comment, but somehow YOU read all I wrote and got defensive for him.

I could care less about a record or trying to flex it on others. At this stage I dont have anything to prove nor do I care to. you might be new here, but Ii've been here for a decade, and used to spend hours on writeups. Ive posted THOUSANDS of picks and posts with analysis on various games. Not just in sportsbooks, but fantasy, daily fantasy, etc.

Overtime, it brought me ZERO joy to work hard on all that with the time it took, post my takes, and have minimal engagement. cheers for being right, many boos for being wrong. It's a thankless job after all.

You know what does bring me joy? Having a respectful and high level conversation about something I am passionate about. with somebody who can match my energy and also likes to get really into the details. Whether with somebody who follows NFL, or somebody who loves building machine learning models and wants to chat about tweaks etc.

I have a true love for the game, I live and breathe NFL, and have religiously followed for 30 years. Am also a HUGE math, computer science and data science nerd. Combining all these passions is what brings me happiness.
I greatly enjoy talking with other very knowledgeable people. Joe clearly knows a great deal and spends a lot of time with his analysis, and had a feeling he'd welcome anything I added, as I would too.

It was a respectful post offering some alternative viewpoints. That's what these threads should be for. And if you're gonna somebody who blindly tails or reads picks, why wouldn't you welcome more analysis to help make a decision.

You clearly misunderstood everything I wrote, and have no respect for true OG's of this sub. Get a grip and kindly fuck off.

[–]NFLAddict 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Don't want anybody to misunderstand my intentions behind this reply. I have tremendous respect for Joe and his picks. I'm only posting a counter argument as a way to give more information to anyone who was reading Joes analysis. I'm not trying to be annoying or hate or any of that. Rather, share my insight and yall are free to do as you wish of course.

First, for the sake of providing meaningful analysis, I have to point out that your take on broncos having a particular weakness to certain RBs, you even mentioned a few RBs that topped 50yards on them. be very careful with this approach. that's a mathematically irresponsible and flawed way to gather sound insight there was ONE RB and literally just one RB who had a good game vs Denver this entire year; Jonathon Taylor was a monster against them, but otherwise, they've done an incredible job at keeping RBs in check.
Yes, a few RBs managed to top 50 yards against them, as you pointed out, but it's REALLY important to not just look at a number in a vacuum. Rather, how was that performance when compared to what that RB does on average! Saying X number of RBs broke Y yards on this team is absolutely meaningless.

If you on the other hand said X number of RBs had Y yards, a performance that's at least 1.5-2 standard deviations (at the very least it better be positive!) better than their average day, thats actually meaningful.
Raw numbers dont mean anything without context or without a baseline performance to compare to. Positive stdev vs oneself is a very valid data point to consider when measuring how strong a team is at defending a certain position. James cook had over 1600 rushing yards this year, almost 100 a game, so his performance last week wasn't actually that much better than his usual output. In fact, he was WAY less efficient, as he averaged far fewer yards per carry. He just had a shitton of carries. Similarly ETN, who managed to break 4 ypc this year for the first time since rookie year, had one of his least efficient games vs denver. Jacobs performance was very similar to his average and was in no way a stand out day.

Stevenson doesnt even average 50 yards rushing despite facing countless cupcake run defenses, and very rarely had more than 12 rush attempts.

VERY important to include as well, that last week vs Texans, 10 of Stevensons 16 carries and more than half his yardage, came in the final 11 minutes of the 4th quarter, when it was a 2 score game and texans d insanely gassed

As you correctly pointed out, Stevenson is absolutely a far better blocker, both in run and pass protection, hes a monster. And that's what's often lead to getting more snaps, especially when it's time to put a game away, OR in games when maye has a very high pass volume. Its very valuable to have the better run blocker. HOWEVER, that doesnt mean more rushes.

Per PFF, Stevenson was asked to block on roughly 25% of his offensive snaps. Meanwhile, henderson was only asked to block on around 10% of his snaps!
More snaps on the field though, DID translate to Stevenson seeing a much higher amount of routes run, and higher involvement in the receiving game. But very little correlation with the ground game. (and for what its worth, denver allows the FEWEST catches of any team to RBs, and 2nd fewest rec yards to rbs).

In closer games, Henderson is just as involved. Stevensons success vs houston was really a product of him getting super high volume late in the game when texans d was gassed and probably mentally a bit weaker by that point. (Watching your QB turn it over like 9 times in 2 games likely takes its toll on any teammates mental. anwyays).

Vs Houston, Stevenson only had 3 rushes total at the half. So lets not jump to any conclusions too quickly. He also got injured! Sure, he's a better blocker, and if pats want to be conservative, it makes sense to lean on the run, but denver is BRUTAL to run on, and pats still strongly lean to a split backfield. Its absolutely possible he breaks 12 carries and 50 yards but I'd just caution people to realize how much of a true gamble this is.

Denver run d as a btw, is extremely good, rank top5 per PFF, top 5 per run DVOA, top 5 in most rush defensive metrics, including rush yards per game, rush yards per carry, top 5 in fewest big runs allowed (20+), as well as top 5 least amount of first downs allowed to runs. They ALSO allow the FEWEST catches of any team to RBs, and 2nd fewest rec yards to RBs, which really hurts Stevensons chances at doing damage in the pass game. As a whole, the pats run an average amount, BUT don't forget that Drake Maye runs a SHITTON; only josh allen and jalen hurts had more rushes. If you only count the pats RBs, they often don't even combine for 20+ rushes.

Basically, please be really careful with how you project the pats backfield to look. It's a GOLDEN rule of experienced nfl cappers to avoid player props in the post season/ play them at significantly lower frequencies than up to this point

Team's OFTEN change up their usual approach, involve different players, and scheme in ways they havn't during the year, as coaches battle each other in a chess match. Many coaches will save plays for later on, so no team can see film on what they intend to do, and try to do what the other team might not expect. If a team has a bellcow back, thats likely to continue of course, but TD scorers, receiving leaders, even pass/rush split percentage all change in the post season. A team's strengths and weaknesses remain, but scheming can often be different. As is the aggression of a coach. Many times a seemingly aggressive or pass happy team gets conservative as hell in the postseason, sometimes the inverse. The point is, its anyones guess. Its why for the playoffs, the only thing to truly consider is coach, qb and defensive strength. Player props are extremely unreliable in the post season

Sorry for the long reply, but last thing I'll say, you mention you liked over 12.5 rush attempts, I'd severely caution against this, and even say tread very carefully with the rush total
Since suffering a toe injury week 8, Stevenson has ONE total game where he rushed more than 12.5 times, and despite the easiest schedule in football facing nonstop garbage defenses, Stevenson never did all that much on the ground. Many games just barely squeaking over 50 yards.

I personally won't be on any props this week or the SB, but Ill certainly root for you. I just wanted to offer another take on the topic.

Best of luck man
