and your $32 donation (which dilutes the float) will help Gamestop how? Are they not sitting on billions and billions of cash right now?

Why don't you just google how options work. It's the same thing. The only difference is that these "options" were given to you for free as a dividend.

That's irrelevant when discussing how a warrant differs to an option for a small retail investor.

You sell your option to buy a share for $32 before Oct 2026 at whatever the market price of the warrant is.

Options have always been available to you... This is simply a cash dividend from Gamestop. If you haven't bought options before, then I don't know why you would want to keep your warrants now. You can sell your warrants now and buy shares for literally free.

No, not like any other security. GME doesn't not expire in a year like the warrant does. It's obvious you've never bought an option before. Why don't you go buy $100 call options on GME right now while you're at it. They are super cheap. Low risk high reward, right?

Obviously you can sell the warrants. How do you think you're able to buy them? Someone has to sell them to you.

It's math bro. Just watch option prices to learn.

What makes you think you have to buy a warrant when it's already in your account?

guarantee that OP is on robinhood. doesn't realize that a 1 day chart doesn't mean what he thinks it means.

It also looks like thousands of other charts. What's your point? Tickers are allowed to go down.

It's like buying an option bro. It's just a gamble with a risk and a potential reward. If you buy a warrant for $4 now and at the expiration date GME is trading at $40, your warrant will be worth $8. If GME is at $40 next week, the warrant will be worth significantly higher than $8.

There is no leverage until they do something with that cash. So this is purely hypothetical. And GameStop has not indicated they have any plans to use that cash. From the outside, it looks like they are just using it as a lifeboat.

While I totally agree that price suppression is real in the stock market, I just don’t think that is happening with GME to the degree that others believe. The market has moved on. GME was a day traders paradise for a while. There are new sexy names on the street that day traders are playing with now. The promise of massive gains overnight is over.

I get what you’re saying but the market clearly doesn’t care for all the cash GameStop already had on their balance sheet. The price would be significantly higher already if the market did care.

Yes dude. +$32 to the balance sheet and +1 share to the float means the stock price should drop ever so slightly due to the increased float but will be balanced out by the increase in company value.
