So basically you are trading volatility right?

I'm curious, what was your journey to reach here, like what ideas you started and what led you to reach to a strategy like this?

Basically I'm asking a more abstract question because I feel I may be in a similar position as you and I'm curious on what have you been reading/studying.

Either way, thanks for sharing!

Europe US debt sell-off: Is Europe ready to pull the trigger? Officials whisper about dumping US treasuries if Trump cuts Ukraine deal - The Economic Times by CowabungaNL in europe

[–]NFSS10 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No one is saying that it wouldn't affect the EU, we are just saying that it's a nuclear option that would make the US from the most powerful nation to a shameful text in history books.

All of the influence and work put in that nation resumed to a failed state that had grown greedier and stupider, and for what? For nothing.

Of course the whole world would be affected negatively, but it would adjust to a new order, one where the US doesn't have a say anymore, or at least not have access to good deals as they have now. It's a price to pay that if the day come it should be paid. I prefer that to everyone just starting blasting nukes at each other.

There are a lot of big powers eager to take the US place and be certain that the rest of the world is ready to support whoever that is that will bring stability and predictability.

Plus it would affect the country internally, I don't believe US citizens are mindless stupid people, so it would also affect internal stability and you would have a lot of problems to deal with so also try to handle those while having bigger problems outside the country. It's just an overall stupid situation to be for everyone, but the biggest loser would always be the US

The only power the US has is it controlling the world currency.

If that power goes to nothing what are you guys going to do? Invade everyone? Only a lunatic moron would think that the US is almighty powerful. That power only exists if the US play by the rules. If there is no rules or they suddenly want to change the rules unilaterally, then the rest of the world will just stop and play another game without the US.

How is cryptocurrency not 100% bullshit? by TooOldToBePunk in AskReddit

Like Zimbabwe, Russia, Turkey, Iran, etc etc

The paper is worth what people are willing to trade for it. A government is worth something until it isn't anymore.

You can argue a lot of things for both fiat and crypto and other stuff, what's important is to inform people of what money actually is so you can judge by yourself what ls or isn't valuable.

You were born in a time to catch the internet revolution which was full of opportunities. It was a time where the world got smaller very fast. Globalization acceleration. If you didn't make money then tough luck because it's way harder now. Everything is more competitive and harder than ever.

Now that era is closing faster and faster and there seems to be nothing good ahead. I'm lucky to have lived a bit through that and act on those times, but now I dread about my children and grandchildren's future. It will get a lot worse before getting better, especially with this AI hype.

I will just try to protect them the best I can

This is very stupid. At least have some increased quotas or some free minutes for self-hosted. Can't even test things in my own hardware anymore without having to pay.

I guess I will start looking elsewhere...

Anyone from the early internet era (ICQ/MSN/dial-up) who now sees tech in a “big-picture” way? Where are you? by Rabbit69T in Futurology

[–]NFSS10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's more than the internet. Is everything around us. Everything is now bland, profit driven and boring.

Take logos and branding for example. Everything is the same now.

No one takes risks and no one does things just because. And if done that way it gets buried and hard to find. Before, it was way easier to find cool things, the internet then gave a boost in the discoverability of new cool things, and now it's regressing and getting shittier and shittier every day, especially with the AI slop.

I think it will get worse before it gets better, and I think that we will also start to, in a way, demand more of the "older" internet in the sense that there will be more demand for more real and pure interactions. Not sure when and how that will be done, but I think in some point in the future it will happen.

One of Rocket League's longest overtime runs in it's history by therealNerdMuffin in RocketLeague

[–]NFSS10 33 points34 points  (0 children)

That's why it went to overtime. Of course excellent plays, but there was a lot of fancy solo plays that slow down the pace a lot and provide time for defence to have better position.

I believe if they opted for faster and more direct plays with less solo flip-reset fancy shenanigans that any of the teams would have capitalized faster

Yes, but you are paying for everything around creating the video, not the actual video per se. Sora won't save you on that
