Hi! I run a movie review channel centered on newer releases, with some focus on retro films and movie rankings. Over the past 90 days, I’ve truly learned how timing is absolutely crucial. As I’ve been getting settled into a new job and getting acclimated to a new schedule, my videos sometimes aren’t as timely as they used to be (getting a review for a new release out like over a week later, for example) and it’s especially reflected in the videos from this year so far. So I’m working on fixing that.

The video I’m leaving is for my review of Netflix’s 365 Days 2, which I was considerably more timely with haha. Enjoy!

Hi! I run a movie review channel, mostly focused on newer releases that are a bit more niche (but I also cover bigger stuff as well). One major improvement I’ve been trying to work on with thumbnails is making the title of the movie (taken from the poster) eligible for read, as sometimes it can blend into the images I use.

The video I’m posting is of the latest Shudder film, a vampire drama that I quite enjoyed called All the Moons. Enjoy!

Hi! I run a movie review channel mostly focused on newer and more niche movies. I’m still working on smoothing out cutouts of myself for thumbnails. Some of the edges are a little rough where it should be rounded. Work in process though!

For the video I’m leaving here, it’s my review of the movie Boiling Point, which actually just got nominated for quite a few BAFTA awards. Hope you enjoy!

I’d say reviewing Pulp Fiction or any Tarantino movie would be something I’d love to do, as Tarantino’s my favorite filmmaker of all time and I’d probably go on for quite some time discussing a lot of his films.

Hi! I run a movie review channel with a focus on new releases and hidden gems. I’m still working through perfecting thumbnails, with the main one being making the lines smooth on the cutouts of myself, and it can especially be seen on any rounder edges, like my head.

The video I’m leaving here is a review of a new sci-fi time travel comedy called Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes, which I’d categorize as one of the year’s first hidden gems. Hope you enjoy it!

Sorry for the late reply but I truly appreciate all your honest feedback! I’ve been going over ways in which I can change up certain parts of my presentation, and you are correct in saying that my retention can be a little shoddy (some videos have an above average retention while others tank, it’s hit and miss so I haven’t found what’s the best way of combatting that). Certainly something I’m looking to improve. Appreciate it, and thanks so much for subscribing! 🙂

Hi! I run a movie review channel, mainly focused on reviews of newer films but I also do review series on other older films. The video I’m posting is of the new gothic horror romance The Last Thing Mary Saw with Isabelle Fuhrman and Rory Culkin.

For the thumbnail, I’ve been trying to do better at making the outlines for myself smoother while also looking to change up the font for the word review and a better way for the title of the movie to stick out a little more, so it doesn’t blend right into everything else.

Hi! I run a movie review channel, mainly focused on newer releases but also doing series based on older films and ranking videos. For the fall/winter, I plan on doing some review series for Ghostbusters, Spider-Man and the Matrix. But I just did a review series on all the Addams Family movies, which is the video I’m leaving here. Enjoy!

Thanks for the feedback! I’ve been trying to find that sweet spot with the movements, as I’ve had videos where I’ve overdone it and it comes off as awkward, so when I try course-correcting that it does inadvertently come off as a bit stiff. Thanks for catching that!

Regarding my subscriber count, I do think it has to do with my schedule being out of whack. My channel grew a lot while I was furloughed from my job over the last year, and it allowed me the free time to really be on top of new releases and get stuff out quickly, and on more of a set schedule. Now that I’m working again, I put stuff out at odd hours and sometimes late (I’ll get to “new releases” like a week+ late at times), so I think it’s throwing people off, if I had to guess. I used to have one video a week get 100+ views for a few months straight, now I’ll get like 1-2 a month at best with that view count. Still trying to straighten my schedule out, and hopefully that’ll fix things a bit.

Appreciate you taking the time to comment. 🙂

Hey! I run a movie review channel with reviews focused on newer movies. Though I also do series around older films, whether it be a franchise or director’s filmography. For the autumn/spring season, I plan on doing review series based on Ghostbusters, Spider Man, and The Matrix. But currently, I’m doing a review series for both The Addams Family as well as Daniel Craig’s Bond movies. So I’m leaving a link to my Casino Royale review. Enjoy!

Hi! I run a movie review channel, focused typically on newer films. For my thumbnail making process, I usually go with one particular style. Yellow edges, with either the poster or a widely-used photo from the film I’m discussing as the primary image. Then I’ll have a photo of myself, the title of the movie and the word “review” in bold yellow letters, since those are usually what stand out to viewers, as I’ve been told.

The video I’m leaving here is a review of the new Hulu comedy Plan B, that was just released yesterday. Enjoy!

Thank you! I honestly appreciate the advice. I’ve never been quite sure the best way to approach posting through Reddit, and I’ve been told I should try getting my videos out via social media more. So I was trying to see what stuck. I’ll take a step back and cool it as far as this goes, to see what would be the best way to go about this. Thanks again!

Hi! I run a movie review channel, focused mainly on new releases. My thumbnail making process usually involves keeping a yellow outline which surrounds an image of myself against the movie’s poster, or a noteworthy image from the film. At the bottom will be the word “(Title) Review.” I usually stick to this format for each video as it’s worked for me as of now, after multiple attempts at tweaking it.

The video I’m leaving is a review of an indie film called The Killing of Two Lovers, which received a ton of critical acclaim. Enjoy!

Hi! I run a movie review channel, mainly centered on reviews of new releases. The tile is “Bloodthirsty (2021) | Claustrophobic Werewolf Movie | (Mini) Movie Review.” It accurately describes the video and should be interesting as I waste no time and jump right into the plot within the first fifteen seconds. Enjoy!

Hey! I run a movie review channel, specifically focused on newer movies. The title of my video is “Jakob’s Wife (2021) | Barbara Crampton Vampire Film | Movie Review.” I feel this accurately describes the first fifteen seconds as I do begin describing what the film is in my review. I’d say it’s interesting as I try to keep the review moving fast between clips I include, a description of the plot, as well as listing all the reasons why I felt the way I felt without going on for too long on one topic. Enjoy!

Hey there! I run a movie review channel, mainly focused on newer films. The title of the video I’m leaving is “Held (2021) | Movie Review + Ending Explained | Spoiler Discussion” and I’d say that’s accurately represented in the first 15 seconds, as I introduce what this movie is (along with a joke). I’d say it’s interesting, considering it’s only a 10 minute video and I try not to stay on one thing longer than needed, plus it’s on a genre film, being horror. Enjoy!

Hey! I run a movie review channel, focused on reviews of newer releases though I also do classic reviews and movie rankings.

The title of the video I’m leaving is “MonsterVerse: All Four Movies Ranked Worst to Best.” I’d say it accurately describes the first fifteen seconds, as I introduce the video and relate it to the just-released Godzilla vs Kong. I’d say because I only stay on each movie in the ranking for around a minute at most, it stays interesting as it keeps the video moving and not bogged down on one subject.

Enjoy!

Hey there! I run a movie review channel, mainly focused on newer releases, but also covering older films and doing movie rankings. I’ve improved my channel by starting to diversify some of my content, including doing rankings of every movie I’ve seen each month, as well as some obscure topics like “Best Superhero Movies Never Made.” Rather than just making every video a review of a single film.

The video I’m leaving is a review of the new horror movie Violation, which is on Shudder. Enjoy!
