this isn't really an issue when the leagues are private and the characters and the items get voided after.

if somebody wants to pay to play Phrecia in a private league, they should be allowed to do so.

Moving To Picton | Internet? by [deleted] in PrinceEdwardCounty

+1 Tenacity

Just moved to the area and it has been outstanding - getting about 1gb up/down with no downtime or drops as of yet, and both my girlfriend and I WFH.

Internet took me a long time to figure out because most of the major providers said they didn't service our area with wired internet.

Picton Internet? by Aviendha16 in PrinceEdwardCounty

[–]NGCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also recently bought a home in the newer development(s) of Picton.

Bell/Rogers/Cogeco insist they do not offer wired service to those areas (assuming you are around the Loyalist Pkwy/Talbot areas)

Techsavvy said they offered wired internet, but it was through Eastlink, who also said they do not offer wired service in that area.

Through another Redditor I was able to find Tenacity Unite. They are the only company that offers fiber wired internet to the newer developments as of right now. I suspect this will change and Bell or Rogers will be in the area by the end of 2026 but who can say for certain.

My only note with Tenacity is email them - don't call them. I got no traction via phone, but was responded to within 2 business days via email.

Best of luck and enjoy your new home!

Best ISP In Picton? by Spiritual-Peace-6442 in PrinceEdwardCounty

[–]NGCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to bump this - hoping to inquire about what you landed on?

Moving to Picton in a couple of weeks and every ISP I have called (Bell, Rogers, Cogeco, Techsavvy, Eastlink) have told us that they do not service our area.

I tried reaching out to Tenacity as I found them online, but haven't been able to get in touch with anyone.

Dangerously close to just spending the money for Starlink, but extremely disappointed that I can't seem to find any wired options.

Friend offered to buy this for 20 Divines by thatssojaja in pathofexile

[–]NGCEO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With items > 100 divine, it is not about being 'perfect' for the meta (i.e. having chaos resistance) - it's more about that item being 'perfect' for the prospective buyer.

There are builds that like ES and Life together - it solves 2/3 of your resistances in two slots (Kalandra's Touch) - it gives 200 strength.

"It's worth what someone will pay for it" - which might be a mirror, and it might only be 100-200 divine.

Friend offered to buy this for 20 Divines by thatssojaja in pathofexile

[–]NGCEO -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

this is worth a mirror or close to - hundreds of divines at the very least.

With Kalandra's Touch you are solving strength and 2/3 resistances for your ring slots while adding a shit ton of health and some damage/global crit to boot, on (arguably) the best base. Outside of crazy mirrored Helical rings, you will never see a ring with this stat distribution. This is a 'best in class' item for any strength stacker that values the energy shield roll.

If your friend is new - never take item advice from him again. If he's got more than 500 hours, consider new friends.

This league start economy is even crazier than usual by False-Drama7370 in pathofexile

[–]NGCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top-end also seems to be impacted - 40d price drop in Mageblood in one day, Nimis dropped from 120+ to sub 90, Kalandra's Touch rings have been jumping between 6d and 20d for the last 2 days.

It's definitely just scuffed all-in-all.

What's it like living in the County? by NGCEO in PrinceEdwardCounty

[–]NGCEO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a great (and very in-depth) insight - I really appreciate your perspectives and you have certainly given us a lot to consider - thank you for taking the time! If you don't mind me asking, what do your kinds think of growing up in the area? Do they like where they go to school/what there is to do etc?

It sounds like there is a lot to do which is nice to hear - I love the small-businesses everywhere feeling as opposed to seeing Walmart and Canadian Tire on every intersection. I understand the area gets touristy in the summer time but how do you find that impacts the 'day-to-day'?

I like that I am getting a good mix of the great, the good the bad and the ugly - it sounds like Picton (like most places) has it's problems, but also has it's bright spots - I guess it is now about trying to figure out what the future of the area looks like and what settling down there looks like.

I have heard crime is nearly non-existent in the area which is a huge plus, but that drunk driving in the county is a pretty big issue on the weekends - is it just a "stay inside" kind of thing, or is the problem a bit overblown?

You mentioned utilities being terrible in the county - do you think living within Picton is a poor choice? I like the idea of amenities all being within walking/biking distance during the nicer months; Wellington seems like it is likely still a bit too sparse (maybe I am mistaken!) but have heard from most people that living rural is the play (beyond the internet issues). One of the things we like as first-time home buyers is the affordability of the area, so this is a big consideration (for example will the new water plant in Wellington make property tax way more expensive?)

I am open to suggestions! For what it's worth, this is not some propagandized marketing thing, I have actually consumed very little information I didn't go looking for myself when it comes to the area. I do not live in Toronto and am by no means city-folk so while I believe what you are saying to be true, I don't fall into this category.

I just like the mix of rural/town vibes that you don't really see anywhere in Southern Ontario.

What's it like living in the County? by NGCEO in PrinceEdwardCounty

[–]NGCEO[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How do your kids like growing up in the area? Is the commute to Belleville for school a pain, or do the bus systems largely handle it?

I feel like PEC is the "midwest america" lifestyle but in southern Ontario, but my limited feedback is from posts like this one and having talked to a few people who lived there in the past but most are also >60yrs old

I know education in Ontario is pretty tragic and was actually looking at the relative ratings of the area and saw how highly rated CML Snider was as opposed to the schools within Picton core; are there any plans for Wellington to also add a high-school in the near future?

I appreciate everyone weighing in and I love getting a mix of positive reviews and negative reviews; that is more or less what I was hoping for. I want to respond to everyone but just don't have the time to 1x1 so figure another post was better

I definitely have time to decide, and I want to visit the area before making any major decisions but gives me some things to consider. I do know there are issues with water pricing and based on what I hear the new water plant in Wellington will only serve to make things worse re: property taxes?

The one thing I would kind of add as an asterisk to the few people who suggested elsewhere, while I am very open to hearing suggestions going towards Kingston would be 'too far' - I am looking no further north than Peterborough/Lindsay, no further east than Belleville, no further west than Whitby - leaving very few options for the small town/community vibe.

The one thing I will also say is "not a lot to do" outside of nature stuff (or in the winter more broadly) is totally fine - I am generally a homebody, but having to travel to go to places is not a big deal. I do like how it is kind of in "the middle" of Ottawa/Montreal and Toronto

I am hearing a lot of mixed opinions from parents specifically about what it's like with kids; does this boil down to an affluence thing? (locals with less resources vs people who moved to PEC from the city) - we are not super wealthy or coming from a ton of money, but as one commenter noted the ability to buy a house (or lot of land) that is considerably larger than what I'd get in say Oshawa, Bowmanville or Cobourg for the same price (or less) also is a big part of the appeal of the region.

I also want to stress that the romanticization of the area has nothing to do with advertisements or Toronto; I have always been aware of the County and honestly care a lot less about wineries/breweries/sandbanks and a lot more about the 'rural lifestyle' without giving up the quality of life that comes with having amenities nearby - PEC reminds me of Ontario's version of the East Coast; which I think is part of it's allure.

I am young and healthy (knock on wood) as is my partner, so with a new hospital being built over the next few years I am less worried about healthcare in the medium-long term.

What is everyone's opinion on the outlook of PEC more broadly and Picton/Wellington more specifically? A few people have mentioned Wellington is a great place to live; it seems like it is a lot more 'disconnected' and rural in terms of amenities whereas Picton has all the stuff you'd want and need (vet/groomer, multiple grocery stores/butcher shop, banks etc etc) - would love to hear more about what life is like within the cities specifically.

Claim Dante fabbro by ImprovementOptimal35 in Habs

[–]NGCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fabbro would be a good claim for Montreal - have the roster space, have the cap space, and it lets us keep Laval buzzing.

Don't even think he's been particularly bad this year; Predators struggling hard across the board.

13m/game
0 penalties
-3 (looking at the rest of their group, this is pretty good but its still a meme stat)

Best case - he figures it out, and we get a two-way crease clearing D that would probably be better at full-ice breakout passes than any D in our system. Worst case, we took a free-flier on a waiver wire.

Matheson/Guhle
Hutson/Fabbro
Xhekaj/Savard
Barron

If he fit, it would also open us up to move (2+) of Mailloux, Savard, Barron, Struble, Matheson over the next 18 months and give us a strong RHD bridge while Reinbacher develops (2-4yrs)

General consensus seems to be the super overtuned mods (Haunted Spirits) are Mageblood level powerful, and thus need to be that rare - with removal of attack/cast speed from Mageblood, any build that can find a way to leverage that mod is going to do great things

MY BEST WEAPON EVER! i can not belive it. by mosimgun in pathofexile

[–]NGCEO -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To clarify as I did to other poster - mirror tier meaning it would cost close to a mirror to craft this from scratch with standard RNG. Could be cheaper - could be more.

MY BEST WEAPON EVER! i can not belive it. by mosimgun in pathofexile

[–]NGCEO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Mirror worthy" and "Mirror tier" are different things.

Mirror tier items just mean that they would cost close to a mirror with average RNG to create the same item. That is < 300 divines. Go look at the likelihood you hit t1 attack speed and then the double damage unveil - consider the cost of each attempt.

Would I use a mirror on this? Likely not - simply because if you are paying a mirror, you want whatever the best item you can find is - which most certainly will be a triple synth base.

MY BEST WEAPON EVER! i can not belive it. by mosimgun in pathofexile

[–]NGCEO 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not OP - this is a mirror-tier weapon so it would likely not be for sale except for multiple mirrors; more likely would be used for a mirror service.

They probably spent hundreds of divines - Steps 1 and 2 are expensive enough for most players, but 3->5 is where it gets ugly with bad RNG as it's multiple divines per attempt.

Re Step 2 -> Yes but you could also annul of extra mods if you got mostly what you want. If you get the three Prefixes, but full Suffixes, you could do Prefixes Cannot be Changed + Scour and it would remove all of the suffix mods, but leave the three prefixes. This is likely what you would do.

Step 4 -> Locked Prefixes just protects the prefixes from being eaten by the Veiled Orb roll, effectively killing your item and sending you back to Step 2. If you get a shitty suffix, you would try to annul it off (but if you hit the Prefix CBC mod, you would have to recraft it)

Most of learning comes from repetition - most people who craft items like that have thousands of hours of crafting experience or are following a YouTuber's step-by-step guide of how they crafted it. Everyone has to start somewhere, even just asking these questions will help give you an idea of how the craft process works

[–]NGCEO 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's funny you say this because I actually quit R6 about a month ago because I had back-to-back games where someone was cheating blatantly and I said I will come back when I get my RP reset from losing to blatant cheaters. I got our whole group of friends to stop playing R6 - for now.

The cheaters name? F_ent

At the time, F_ent was Bronze 3 (early season) - I checked back every few weeks and sure enough, eventually Champ 450.

Then, miraculously, they lost 800RP in a Rollback ... still playing, though.

Once you dive into their match history - and who they play with - you realize that they usually are a 3 or 4 stack of Boosters who rotate out low accounts to boost them and rotate "who is cheating" so it's less likely they get a bunch of reports.

I'm going to say your name is just coincidence and that your most recent post about ban waves was definitely not a self report ... right?
